Far better build quality than even some £200 headphones I've tried and even though they are gaming headphones music (rock and alternative) doesn't sound awful and is a really good listening experience. Packed as if they cost 5 times more than they do with a fitting accessories package including replacement pads and a combo jack adapter for laptops and smartphones. The mic quality is the only slight letdown but still on our with all other headsets in this price bracket. Also they look and feel so premium and not to gamer so they fit with a nice clean setup but don't look like they belong in an office. Overall very impressed and would definitely recommend!

I like the build quality of the headset. The included box with all the extra components like the extension cable were a nice touch. However, it becomes unbearable to wear after too long as the leather pads get too hot, so I have to take it off. Then again, I do go for 5 minute breaks for my health and I am wearing glasses so that might be a problem.
Aside from that, great headset. Buy during holidays when it's cheaper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PaulG An excellent choice
I play a fair amount of co-op games and needed to replace my ageing and crackling old headset. These headphones are well made (the bracket that holds the ear can is metal as is the headband) from durable but comfortable materials, and comes with two sets of ear can cushions. One is memory foam covered in faux leather, the other is covered in fuzzy cloth. You can easily fit whichever is your preferred type.
The cables supplied are numerous, and they even give you an adapter so you can use them with your phone (converting the headphone + microphone twin 3.5mm jacks into a single 3.5mm).
My only negative comment is that whilst they produce clear and distinct sound, they're maybe quieter and a little lighter on bass than I would have expected.
That said, the product is very much worth the money.

I purchased this in June 2015 and straight away it started making crackling sounds after about an hour of gameplay. If you don't unplug it (sounds simple but unplugging the headset mid-game mutes the sound) it carries on and eventually all the sounds slow right down and sound robotic. I know it's not the most expensive headset ever but for £47 I expect something that would last at least a year maybe 2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bertimo A delight!
This headset is the most comfortable gaming headset I have ever owned! Compared to my old Asus ROG headset this is a dream and even better they haven't skimped on the build quality to keep weight/cost down.
Aside from the feel, these sound as good as it gets for a gaming headset and the mic is, from what my friends say, really good too.
The included accessories are nice to have, it comes with a adapter to use with your phone and even replacement ear cups if you don't like the real leather ones preinstalled. Also the packaging is really premium, sound silly to say but it really adds to the premium experience!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Moore9686 good headset how ever
Purchased this headset from scan on 01/04/2015 was a great headset up until the right ear cup stopped working sent it back to scan on a RMA only to be told no fault was found and had to pay no fault fee of £10 on top of the £12 pound it cost me to get it back to them before RMA number ran out.
Paid the fee and was sent the headset back only to get the headset back yes you got it, a faulty headset that had apparently been tested
So one star is for scans after sales not the fault headset

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris258 AX720 to HyperX - What an improvement!
Having used all 3 previous versions of the Tritton AX720's due to each having a build quality fault and being RMA'd, I'm pleased to finally move to a pair of headphones built to last.
The AX720's had fantastic sound and bass, but the directional surround was dreadful and the build quality terrible. In the end band cracked all the way along and the headset snapped in half. The previous 2 had similar issues, very disappointing but at least their RMA procedure was good.
The HyperX are less than half the price I paid for the AX720's and the quality of the headphones is just faultless. The sound quality overall might be slightly less (a bit more distant I think) the improved directional sound for games like CS:GO has vastly improved my game play.
If you want a pair of music headphones look elsewhere, but for gaming these really are. Comfortable, affordable and built to last.
