Hughes & Kettner - Tubemeister TM36H
This ain't no one trick pony Delve into new territories of control with of your amplifier with Hughes & Kettner’s TubeMeister 36 3 channel guitar amplifier. This amp hides something special underneath it’s beautiful, solid housing. Choose from between 36, 18, 5 or 1 watts, or even a ‘speaker off’ mode, and set these to each channel. Then, you can even select the power output mode via a MIDI switching function. On top of this, you can add some of the sublime built in reverb, an effects loop and they’ve gracefully included a tube safety control functionality so you can concentrate on your music, not whether your tubes are going to hold up or not. The versatility in the TubeMeister 36 ensures there’s no gig you aren’t prepared for.
Fully Loaded Tube Amp Power
All bases covered Hughes & Kettner loaded the TubeMeister with four powerful EL84 tubes to ensure that only the best tones come screaming out of the amp. From beautiful, chiming clean sounds, to face-melting lead tones, and everything in between. With four EL84’s behind you, you’ve covered all bases.
No more worries Those familiar with tube amps will be all too familiar with the anxiety that they can produce. If a tube blows due to a power surge, your amp, at least for that night, is toast. Gracefully, Hughes & Kettner have employed ‘Tube Safety Control’ (TSC). A heaven sent way of ensuring that your amp going up on smoke on stage is a thing of the past. The TSC constantly monitors the tubes in the amp and should one fail, the amp will switch from say, 100watts, down to 50watts and taje the failed tube out from the circuit. A fair deal we’d say, rather than the show being over should one tube fail. Fantastic.
Perfect in the Studio, at Home, Day or Night
You read right, a tube amp with onboard MIDI. The TubeMeister 36’s MIDI capable switching controls the power soak. Which let’s you see at a glance the status of your tubes. Invaluable. If you opted for the FSM 432 MK II footswitch you’ll be effortlessly switching between each of the channels, whilst also being able to select the amp’s output power. As an example, you could choose to run the amp at it’s full 36 watts for a room filling, glistening clean tone, turn it down to 5 watts, but crank that volume to make those EL84’s scream.
As if this amp wasn’t versatile enough, the TubeMeister features Hughes & Kettner’s ‘Redbox DI’, perfect for recording at home late at night or sending direct to a mixer in a live situation. The Redbox emulates a mic’d 412 guitar cabinet via a line signal, you can see that when this is paired with the speaker off mode, the TubeMeister becomes the perfect amp for recording, in the studio or at home, day or night.
