Use the WinTV-quadHD to get live free over-the-air TV for Plex. Watch and record local TV programs with Plex. Use your Plex Media Server as the ultimate DVR. WinTV-quadHD runs with Plex in Linux, Android and Windows.


Freeview HD Digital TV

Freeview HD (also called DVB-T2) is free over-the-air HD TV. Freeview HD is broadcast in the UK and some other countries in Europe, and does not require a subscription. Freeview HD is high definition and FREE!


Full HD Freeview Recording

WinTV-quadHD has four Freeview HD over-the-air digital TV tuners. Supports all Freeview HD formats, up to the highest HD format (MPEG-4 at 1080p30). Watch, pause or record up to four Freeview HD digital TV programmes using high quality MPEG-4. TV recordings will typically consume 5 GB of disk space per hour for Freeview HD and just 2GB per hour for standard definition Freeview.


Note: The WinTV-quadHD is for digital TV only and does not support analogue TV.

• Four tuners on one half height PCI Express board. WinTV-quadHD will fit in both full and half height PC's.
• Watch, pause or record up to four Freeview HD (DVB-T2), Freeview (DVB-T) or digital cable (DVB-C) TV programmes at the same time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says on the tin - with reservations. Supplied software is useless on a TV as all the writing is too small if you view it from across a room. You need Kodi and a back-end for it, which is a bit of a mare to set up. Software doesn't see our local repeater station so takes signal from Brighton rather than Newhaven (we're in Seaford). Consequently BBC1 and one or two other channels scramble frequently, maybe resulting from ham or maritime transmissions. Otherwise it does what it says.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, easy to use Used in a Linux system (Debian) after installing firmware showed up ok in Plex Media server. Did not use the remote control so cannot comment on that. Programmes recording ok and great to have the HD channel.
