Product Overview
360 video isn't going anywhere, anytime soon and GoPro are back with a new camera to take advantage of the spherical space. The GoPro MAX, a combination of the form factor similar to the GoPro HERO series, as well as bringing the technology base from the Fusion before it.
The difference with this and the Fusion or other 360 cameras, is that you get the opportunity to utilise the MAX as a more traditional GoPro camera, taking high quality images and then switching over to 360 photos in just a couple taps of the screen! The MAX even takes stunning 270-degree PowerPanos, that don't even need you to move the camera to take them!
All your 360 content has in-camera stitching, so you don't need the horsepower on the go to offload and edit in the GoPro App, helping you get that delicious trick online as fast as possible. With the six microphones dotted about the camera, you'll also get accurate audio regardless of which way the camera is pointing.
In the app, you'll be able to reframe your video to focus in on what you want people to see, rather than leaving it to fate and hoping for the best. These 360 videos will then become 2D, but they'll rotate to where you've dictated.
With the new Digital Lenses feature, you can frame the shot with Narrow, Linear, Wide and SuperView, so you can never miss the shot you want.
Horizon Levelling gives your video a cinematic look, regardless of what position you found yourself in. Combined with HyperSmooth, your video is silky smooth and stable, even if you're on rough terrain.
Also getting an update is TimeWarp, the GoPro HERO7's variation on timelapses, TimeWarp brings stabilised, moving timelapses that adjusts the look as you go about your business. When you come to editing in GoPro's app, you can tap to slow down the interesting moment and tap again to speed up.
It's time to get those diving videos you never thought you'd be able to accomplish. Combined with the HyperSmooth Video, as you leap into the abyss below, the MAX is waterproof up to 16ft (5m). If you drop it, the rugged casing around it will keep your camera protected through thick and thin.
GoPro know their audience. They know they don't have time to let go of what their hands are currently gripped onto to capture that crucial moment. That's why they've brought back Voice Control to the Hero8, with 14 phrases that can be shouted at the camera to start recording and now even turn the camera back on from sleep.
