Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by this product has hdmi i was happy when i got the motherboard but the service was not very good it was supposed to arrive on the sunday but never arrived until the monday spent an extra £15.00 on the phone thinking i was going to get it on sunday so in all it cost me £65.00 when the motherboard was only £45.00. 25 December 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Affordable and surprisingly adaptable I've always been a fan of Gigabyte motherboards for their energy efficiency options and no fuss installation, but this motherboard really took me by surprise. I currently have memory clocked on the board at 1866Mhz, well over what has been tested (1333Mhz advertised) and certainly higher than what I thought possible at standard timings. It has also been more than sufficient for pumping extra voltage to the CPU for over-clocking. The motherboard has plenty of room for components with the only drawback being the positioning of the PCI slot between its dual PCIe slots, which makes it unsuitable for some components. A very solid board for a very good price, making this a strong mid range product with few compromises. 27 September 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super AMD FX cpu Motherboard for a Micro Atx Build In my opion this is the best feature set Motherboard for an AMD FX cpu motherboard build i used the FX4350 cpu in my PC which combined with the Thermalright AXP 200 low Height cpu cooler and crucial low profile ballistix memory has proved to be a powerfull gaming machine at a very reasonable cost all installed in The Thermaltake Armour Case in total i have used 3 of these motherboards and have had no failures of any kind and they have played for many hours with no problems so when you consider the cost of £40 pounds its a very good Buy Arthur. 18 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Excellent product Brilliant service - 5 STARS- highly recommended 18 July 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by you get what you pay for granted this is insanely cheap, and I'm not marking it down for lack of features such as fan headers and SATA 3 support. However both the Scan page and Gigabyte's own product page claim full 125W AM3+ support including the 8 core models. I would dispute this as my FX 8320 cannot maintain its base clock speed of 3.5 Ghz under prime 95 stress test, and I believe this to be due to lack of sufficient power from the motherboard's VRMs, as tempertaures were very low using a Corsair H55. I would recommend only using 6 core or under CPUs, as the 8320 has no trouble maintaining clock speed in 6 core mode. I also couln't get the system to boot stably with 4 RAM modules installed even at 1333mhz (chipset frequency limit). 14 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by does well upgrade from intel do a lot of photos vids and web design so far so good 30 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great I'm very surprised of how good this motherboard is. It's running my Phenom II X4 955BE 3.2Ghz at 3.8Ghz at 1.4V 44c. Very good and pretty cheap. 28 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great AND mirco ATX board I installed the motherboard in my girlfriend's computer. it runs on her old IDE drive. as very well. i recommended. 20 November 2013

Have heard that earlier revisions of this board required a bios update prior to the FX series of CPUs being compatible.

Just wondering what BIOS version this board ships with as I have no other AM3 CPU to perform a bios update with.

Thanks :-)

Answer:
A Bios check / upgrade is recommended. Place your order via the sales line ( not online ) and request the BIOS check, which we will perform prior to dispatch.

Answer:
I'm not sure exactly which bios revision this has but mine worked straight out of the box with an 8320, so as long as you get the rev.5 edition (black pcb) and not the older rev4.1 (blue PCB) you'll be fine without a Bios update.

Answer:
Yes it does! I am running a FX6300 on it myself. You may have trouble getting the boost clock to work first time but its just a case of changing the voltages. If you aren't interested in over-clocking then it will work just fine, but bear in mind that you will be able to get an extra 200-300Mhz out of it easy without changing voltages so you might want to look into it.

Has anyone had problems with the FX8350 on this board?

I've bought one of these boards (the rev 5.0) to be used in my current rig which houses a Phenom II 955 BE

looking at the CPU support list the FX8350 looks to be the most powerful that I can upgrade. I was just wondering, has anyone had any problems/stability with the 8350 (no OC) on this board?

Thanks

Hello,
I have a question about memory ram compatible.
I will use

AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core (3.5/4.1GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 6MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+

with this motherboard.
This AMD FX6300 chip support memory ram up to 1866MHZ

But this motherboard speed is only DDR3 - 1333 Mhz

Would this work if HyperX FURY Series 8GB DDR3 1866MHz works on this motherboard ?

Thank you so much for your help.

Answer:
Yes it does, at least on my board. You will have to input all the memory times manually but it is certainly capable. Just be sure to increase the clock speed one stage at a time to be sure of a stable launch. Your mileage may vary as with all over-clocking but there is a fairly good chance of success with this board.
