Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bios GUI is poor at best The board is good it's the Bios that lets Gigabyte down all the time Bios is slow at times can become unresponsive but once you're set up its no longer an issue.

RAM Speed - overclock

Planning to buy this with a Kaby Lake i7 7700K. I have no desire to overclock really. It lists all ram speeds 2400 and above as (oc). So if I were to use any of the ram speeds listed and enable XMP - should it just work in a safe manner and run? E.g. 3000 ram is cheaper than 2133 - would XMP find some safe speed perhaps up to 3000 and work? To put it another way - could putting high speed ram in and enabling XMP auto-overclock my cpu to 5GHz and fry it? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Everything I read on the topic is either super simple "makes it faster!" or assumes you have intimate knowledge of voltages already.

Hello, You could use RAM with a speed of 3000Mhz and it would run safely at 2133Mhz without overclocking it, however if you wanted to run it at a faster speed you could do so without it overclocking the CPU. Regards,
