Rated 5 out of 5 by AHanson18 An excellent compact case.
The overall design of the case is very minimalist and neat, with an attractive brushed aluminium look on the front bezel and simplistic I/O.
The case has very solid construction, despite it being noticeably light due to it being made of thinner steel compared to Fractal's more expensive cases.
The side panels are connected at the front and screwed on from the back, making them quite easy to remove. The panel at the back of the motherboard sticks out slightly to allow extra room to fit your cables.
The four hard drive trays are convenient and can be removed easily. The cages that house them can be completely removed and the bottom cage can be repositioned to the left.
Although this is an excellent case for the price, it is obvious that sacrifices were made by Fractal to keep within the price point, such as the lack of fan filters on the top, no rubber feet and the lack of rubber grommets. These would be nice additions but not essential.
Overall, the Core 1500 is a great case from Fractal Design. Do not be put off by its slightly cheaper price because it packs many premium features, minimalist design and solid build quality; definitely worthy of housing expensive hardware.
