I have tried the pata to sata adaptor card with varying results, but can not get the drives I have to be seen in windows. Will this card work for me to just access the drives and the data on them.

This product would also support HDD's in a none RAID configuration.

Answer: 
I would only recommend this product if you want to set the drives up in RAID.

If you only want to access the data on the drives, then you're better off with something like this:
