DJI Ronin-M: The Perfect Shot, Everytime
SturdyStability, flexibility and usability. When filming, you want to rely on the equipment you’re hinging your thousands of pounds worth of camera gear on. One bad move or if something gives way, everything can come crashing down and it’ll hurt inside. That’s why the Ronin-M was designed by DJI.
SmoothTrackEffortlessly light, you can connect up to 3.6kg of equipment, letting you use your camera and lenses without fear of the gimbal collapsing in on itself. The gimbal itself is a 3-axis, with a smooth translation of your movement into amazing, cinematic camera angles. With DJI’s SmoothTrack settings, this is adjustable with options to change speed, deadband or acceleration. There’s also a Follow Mode, which will lock two of the three axes while SmoothTrack will force your camera along a single axis.
Unified BodyThe arm that supports your camera is made up of magnesium, bent and specifically formed into a U-shape, while the frame itself incredibly strong, with a light weight, it allows for easy moving. With this unified design across the board, you get a gimbal and frame that eliminates granular parts that could become lost or damaged easily.
Fit into any spaceSo while the Ronin-M can be used to capture amazing, awe inspiring moments wherever you decide to shoot, the camera needs to be in the right position to do so. When holding it at your chest in the natural position, there’s the underslung mode and upright mode lets you shoot at eye-level with a simple flip, giving you the chance to shoot crowd shots. There’s also Briefcase Mode, which folds the Ronin-M vertically, allowing you to film in narrow spaces.
Quiet MotorsWhen attaching a camera to something motorised, there’s the chance the motors will vibrate your shot while in movement. DJI have fitted the Ronin-M with brushless motors, not only keeping them powerful for stability, but they have a low vibration, meaning you won’t have an interrupted shot or extra work to remove it.
You'll pick it up in no timeTo give you precise controls, the included controller is built from the same cloth that DJI’s drones. Get that perfect framing and complete more complex camera movements by working together with the motors, while also being independent of the person holding the Ronin-M. You can also power your equipment through the included USB connector.
No Controller? No WorriesIf you forget the controller or it’s not on hand at that moment, the iOS and Android app will let you control the Ronin-M, giving you full access to everything you could do manually in person. So if you’re on set, you don’t have to manhandle the Ronin-M all the time.
