Using it means, of course, you have a consistency of sound across all machines used. Also works as well through the Aten Cubiq KVMP switch I have. I highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sound as I had so many issues with my onboard sound when I "upgraded" to windows 10. I searched through the creative website to see which products were compatible with w10 & went for the Omni 5.1. Installation was very easy & the quality of the sound much better than standard onboard sound.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great sound, but I'm a little disappointed :( Basically everything is great apart from one thing, you can't toggle between the headphones and speakers like you can with other SB cards. So you have to unplug the headphones each time to get the speakers working even though they have different output connections...why? I didn't understand this before I bought and unfortunately assumed it was the same as the others. I would recommend this product, the sound is amazing but I'd explain about the headphones/speakers being linked and not separate as this is not clear in the description. I know this may be nit picking but I switch from speakers (for music) to headphones (for gaming) very often and having to unplug each time is going to be a pain when I'm used to flicking a switch in the software :( I actually want to return it now :(
