Chassis Airflow
Chassis Airflow
Date Issued: 20th Oct 2008

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good case Good case with good airflow, my only issue with this case is the screw holes at the front require widening to fit some of the after market fans, in particular Corsair AF120s etc, I had to drill through mine and use rubber washers. Other than this it is a most excellent case with decent options and exceptional case management options. 20 May 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great case for water or air cooling but is a little noisy. I bought this case after reading many reviews online. I am not dissapointed! The case is very roomy.. you will not struggle to fit anything in this case. The build quality is great. no sharp edges or flimsy areas. 1 small issue is the water cooling IN/OUT will need cutting or drilling if you want to use them but thats an easy job! looks wise the case is what I call handsome! its certainly a masculine look! theres ample room for cooling. I have 6 case fans running with room for 3 more if I need them with 2 of those being part of a push-pull setup! There is 1 slight issue with this case which is why I gave it 4 stars not 5. The side panel.. if you put fans on it they will give off a hum/whine. it wont matter what fan you use ive tried corsairs own quiet edition, golf ball fans from sharkoon and also some sythe fans.. they all make this noise with or without rubber gromits and/or fan silencers. it just seems to be the plastic or perhaps the air flow holes because when I tried them in an exhaust setup the noise stopped. I solved it by keeping my side window fans at sub 50%. regardless this case has ample cooling even without those fans. I highly reccomend it. if corsair could fix that issue its 5 stars+ 04 November 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Accessible and good cooling, but rattles and is hard to secure A nice design, feels rugged and does what it advertises. However, the unique clasp-held side panels have a tendency to rattle over time, and there isn't any way to secure the panels shut, e.g. with Kensington lock or lockable case screws. 29 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Case Bought this a few week ago, amazing case...very spacious, alot bigger than i expected...great cable management, got some white led corsair 140mm fans in there, great airflow, highly recommend it, well worth the money 28 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good case. Looks fantastic. Cable management system is perfect. Quality of materials is brilliant. Quick release case sides are a great idea. Why oh why do case makers never include dust grills for all their fan holes though??? Aside from that, the whole thing is pretty much perfect. 22 November 2013
