Reviews
Corsair Gaming CG K70 RGB Backlit, Cherry MX Brown Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Factory Refurbished is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mechanical keyboard I love the Corsair keyboards, having tried a couple of other ones, these are the ones for me. The mechanical Brown switch does make some noise, so if you want quiet/silent, do not go brown (or blue, which are the loudest). That said, I like to hear the keys, so brown suits me just fine. Good action on the mechanical switches, great for typing (I work from home) and gaming, and the backlighting works really well with the CorsairLink program (download). I bought this refurbished by the seller, though I could not tell you what was refurbed about it....it looks and performs as new. Not a scratch or mark even, so thats great as well. Although the keyboard has no dedicated macro keys, the CorsairLink program lets you record several macros and bind them, the selective lighting mode is great for sim games with lots of important keys (Elite, X3 etc), so you can keep track of them and highlight just the ones you want. Overall I'm extremely happy with this product. The keyboard is sturdy, easy to use and has all the fatures I think you could want. An excellent buy, especially at the refurb price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feeling keyboard (shame it's the wrong model) DO NOT BELIEVE THE PICTURES ON THE WEBSITE. I was sent the model with the unlit, textured spacebar. If you are looking for the older model shown on the website (like I was) then this is NOT it. I got a factory refurb of this keyboard and it arrived without a scratch on it. After downloading the software for the LEDs... I tested everything and it worked flawlessly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bascially brand new First impressions are pretty good, You don't get anything such as a manual, and the box is a stock corsair box. The keyboard so far is basically like new there is no damage to it and it appears to be working in good order. There was a slight mark on the wrist rest however it is very minor and hard to spot. I don't use the rest so doesn't bother me at all. The volume slider is a bit squeaky but I have read online that also applies to brand new ones also. Overall its been great value for money, If I get any issues with it as I start using it more I will report back

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Refurb unit, might as wel;l describe it as new! Excellent item. No software comes with keyboard and it is in plain but secure factory packaging rather than the glossy retail box, but is otherwise identical to retail product. Comes with very comfortable wrist rest and includes the new Corsair gaming logo. Is a UK keyboard. No visible markings that would describe this refurbished unit as a 'second' so the value was excellent - I paid about 65% of the normal retail price of an new RGB K70. Key quality with the Cherry MX brown keys is excellent, even more so when I've put o-rings on the switches. I'd recommend if you're not familiar with mechanical keyboards to get an keyboard switch test unit (a block of 4 or 8 of the most common types of switches - see photo) so that you can test them over a few days and get a much better idea of the type of noise and feel you want from your keys. Watching videos and listening to others' views of which switch is best for what type of user is not so helpful as everyone will prefer a slightly different feeling to their keys. There's no substitute for trying them out yourself. The lighting is fun. Many reviews say it's not bold enough compared to some other keyboards including the new Corsair Strafe but I'm more than happy with the brightness and wouldn't want it brighter as it's too distracting. The photo shows a simple colour layout - took about 2 minutes to do. Also you can see where I've switched a few of the clear keycaps from my 8-key switch tester/sample unit (purchased separately) and replaced the ones on the Corsair. The managerment software or drivers are not included in the box - go and download from corsair. I'm happy with this as anything on DVD inside the box would be out of date anyway. The software for the unit is very capable but somewhat confusing and rather complicated. Best bet is to go and watch a few youtube tutorials to get the basics. Highly recommended first step into mechanical keyboards.

Questions & Answers

What keyboard layout is this product?

I.e. is it UK with the " on the 2 key, the large enter key and hash and tilde key by the enter. As well as the £ sign on the 3 key.
Asked by: MatthewM
Thats right, it is the UK layout as you describe in your question. Bottom row (left to right) has: Ctrl, Win, Alt, Space in case you were wondering. You can disable or re-assign the Windows key I believe through the useful CorsairLink download as well as adjusting your lighting and recording macros etc. Hope that helps.
