The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

CiT Hero Black Mid Tower Computer Chassis, Headphone/Mic In, ATX/mATX/M-ITX, 2x USB 2.0/3.0, PSU is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from CiT Hero Black Mid Tower Computer Chassis, Headphone/Mic In, ATX/mATX/M-ITX, 2x USB 2.0/3.0, PSU I was building myself a new desktop machine and didn't want to go with my usual case (NZXT Elite) as I only needed to house a couple of hard drives. I also wanted to save money. This was a mistake. There is nothing wrong with buying a budget case, I think you should always go with what you can afford. This case however proved to be a bit of a disappointment. The case is made from a very thin grade of steel which flexed and bent while I was installing various components, this could've been my heavy handedness but I've never had a case bend and twist before. Another slight issue was with the front panel control cables, the plugs did not want to grip the pins an the motherboard and just fell out when I moved the case around. Once I had sorted the issues with the case the CIT looks good and is holding everything nicely and if you put a green 120cm fan in the front, it looks the business. Its not a bad case I suppose I'm used to a more robust case.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poorly constructed and considered You get what you pay for with this case, not expensive but there's many reasons for that: - Motherboard mounting screws are too big for the case holes, many don't fit or can't be removed, so securing the motherboard is hit and miss. Mine has several screws missing, so seating bends the motherboard unless I support it with my hands. - The metal is thin, flimsy and very cheap. - A lot of the screw holes line up, but only just. This means the cheap metal has to bend and flex slightly when it's all secure. - The rear holes for PCI-E are not replaceable. They're metal you have to break off. So if you take something out of your machine in future, you'll have a hole you can't fill. - The front/top panel connectors drop down vertically into the case. This means that you cannot install a CD drive (or other) into the top slot of the case if you want to use the connectors. Which renders the top bay entirely pointless; I've had to mount mine in the second bay. - One of the supporting feet on the bottom continuously falls out if you move the case even slightly. - The connector for the USB 3 front port is bizarre and not something I've seen before. Nowhere to plug it in on the motherboard, it doesn't seem to be a conventional connector, so this doesn't get used. - Only 2 HDD bays. - No case fan. I would not recommend this case for a primary system. It's only acceptable as a shell for a rarely used secondary machine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a bad case for a micro ATX but it will not fit certain ATX montherboards The case it's self isn't too bad. Decent build quality if not a little thin. However the problem lies with the actual size of the case. Although it's sold as an ATX case it is not; for certain mother boards at least. I brought this in conjunction with a Gigabyte GA-Z97P-D3, and with much annoyance found that the space inside the case was not big enough to actually mount the motherboard. Both the back and side of the board where pushed up against the back and bottom of the case with no way to line up the screw holes. Luckily a friend of mine had another case lying about which fitted it fine. Word of warning if you;re looking for a case to fit an ATX motherboard and not a mini keep looking.
