What’s the most important part of your PC system? Its processor? The mainboard? Maybe the power supply? You’d only have a case if you thought it’s the PSU. That cornerstone of a PC system is the most important part of the PC system as concerns what’s in the chassis, which might surprise you, but it’s definitely the devices you use to interact with a PC which are absolutely top dog.

CHERRY STREAM 3.0 Keyboard, 6 Media Hot Keys, Black, USB is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very good keybaord. A no messing about, good quality keyboard. Unless you have need for special features this is a good choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet keyboard I like it. So much quieter than our previous keyboards - which were driving me mental. Bought 4 more for the office! Heavy solid piece of kit. More like a laptop keyboard - uncluttered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great keyboard I have used this keyboard since its first version. This must be the 3rd of 4th iteration. The latest version has a matte finish and a blue led, compared to the previous version with an orange led. I prefer the blue led and the matte finish. I have used this keyboard for at least 5 years playing FPS and extensive typing and usually after 1-2 years of use I will buy it again because the responsiveness of the keyboard starts to reduce and certain keys start to develop problems. I only do this because I like the feel of a new keyboard and not because the keyboard becomes unusable. I even purchased the keyboard for work and use it at work. Much to the envy of my colleagues. The main benefits to this keyboard is the quietness of its keys, the responsiveness of its keys when doing extensive typing. The ability for the keyboard to press multiple keys without issue, for gaming purposes. This is usually considered only a possibility on the mechanical keyboards, those are loud and chunky even with the added O rings. This keyboard meets all those requirements is a 5th of the cost and has the added bonus that it is quiet and water proof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I wanted a reliable keyboard just what Cherry make and I was not disapointed. This was to replace a failed Gigabyte Force K7 Stealth KB previously purchased (2+ years ago) from Scan Computers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality keyboard Good quality keyboard, unit feels very sturdy and actually fairly heavy. Key travel is very soft and quiet, no loud clicks. Multimedia keys work straight out of the box with no additional drivers required, a nice addition. Certainly not a cheap model but worth it I think.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably the best £20 keyboard Bought this keyboard as a stop gap for a Corsair K30 which was out of warranty. It's very well made and solid, and the texture on the keyboard is a welcome addition. I am a touch typist, and typing on this keyboard is responsive and very comfortable. Performance in games such as Elder Scrolls Online, and Fallout 4 is very nice, however, I have not tried gaming competitively in fps games. Feature wise, of course, it is very minimal. There is no backlighting or fancy drivers, however, I plugged it into my Windows 10 computer, and have full functionality of all the hotkeys. Overall for a spare emergency keyboard, or for your main keyboard, you cannot go wrong with this keyboard at this price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good budget keyboard The quality you would expect from a Cherry product at a sensible price point. If you're a fan of the current crop of clicky mechanical keyboards, you'll probably hate this one. However, if you're more used to using laptops or other low profile keyboards, this is a great option at a really good price. The overall construction is very good, far better than I expected. The keyboard is quiet and smooth to use without feeling spongy. Key travel is a couple of millimetres, as you'd get with a decent laptop keyboard. Good value for money.

Does this keyboard have the Y and Z keys swapped as shown in the photos or is it a normal QWERTY Keyboard?

Would like a QWERTY keyboard as I'm from the UK but photo shows the Y and Z keys to be switched around.
Asked by: henryhenryy
The layout is UK standard. The pictured layout is German I think.

New version of the Cherry Stream?

Hi. I'm looking for the version of the Cherry Stream listed on their UK website. It's similar to this but they've added a calculator button (and some others I'm not interested in) above the num pad. This new version is also listed as a silent model, whereas the older one wasn't. Is this a different model? If so, have you any plans to stock the newer version? I think its model number is JK-8500GB-2. Thanks!
