At the heart of this guitar is an SQR™ rail humbucking bridge pickup and a Squier SQR™ Atomic™ humbucking neck pickup (RH = Rail humbucker, Humbucker), which deliver a hugely versatile range of massive genre-defying tones without hum. The roasted maple neck was chosen for its optimal tone and stability, and a sculpted heel design allows for improved access all the way to the 22nd fret. High-performance components round out the feature list and include a string-through-body hardtail bridge for ideal body resonance, and a set of sealed-gear tuning machines with split shafts for smooth tuning action and easy restringing.
Eye-catching styling cues include stealthy black hardware and a sleek matching painted headstock with chrome logos for a premium look!

dual humbuckersAt the heart of the Contemporary Telecaster is an entirely unique pickup configuration, fully capable and ready to offer a broad range of huge tones.
Fender included an SQR rail humbucker in the bridge for huge crunching rhythm work and power chords, and an SQR Atomic humbucker in the neck position. This has got to be one of the most versatile Telecaster models ever!
For full control over this vast tonal palate, Fender included the traditional 3-way pickup selector and one tone pot and one master volume.
Roasted Maple Neck
superb access to upper registersDesigned to offer the upmost in stability, the Contemporary Telecaster’s beautiful roasted maple neck and its sculpted heel are wonderfully tuneful and also offer a seriously unique and cool look!
This smooth neck delivers fantastic levels of comfort and superb access to the upper registers. For hardware, Fender included a string-through body hardtail bridge, alongside sealed-gear machine heads, all finished off in a cool black finish.
To round off this extremely unique Telecaster, Fender also gave the headstock a matching paintjob. Very cool!
