The American Professional II Telecaster boasts a greatly improved tone thanks to the inclusion of V-Mod II pickups in both the bridge and neck positions, and greater playability than ever before thanks to a newly designed neck and refined hardware.
The American Professional II Telecaster takes inspiration from over 70 years of innovation, inspiration and evolution to meet, and even surpass the requirements of the modern player.
Fender’s ever popular Deep ‘C’ neck now features super-smooth rolled fingerboard edges, a ‘Super-Natural’ satin finish and a newly designed sculpted neck heel for a magnificently comfortable feel and simple access to the upper registers. Fender included their new ‘V-Mod II’ Telecaster single-coil pickups to deliver greater articulation than ever before, all whilst retaining that inimitable twang, snap and snarl that can only come from the iconic Telecaster. Also new to American Pro II series Telecaster range is the new top-load/string through bridge with compensated ‘bullet’ saddles, this is Fender’s most comfortable and flexible Tele bridge ever – retaining classic brass-saddle tone and delivering superb intonation and versatile setup options, enabling you to fine tune the tension and tone of each individual string to your liking!

Improved V-Mod II PickupsThe arrival of the American Professional II range saw the introduction of the V-Mod II single coil pickups, each of which have been fine-tuned for their position. For the American Pro II Tele, the V-Mod II pickups have been adjusted to deliver greater clarity with more of that famous twang, snap and bite!
There’s warm, creamy cleans on the neck position, and snarling, cutting tones down at the bridge and everything in between! These are classic tele pickups, just with a little extra!
Top-Load/String-Through BridgeThere are some guitarists who prefer a top-loaded bridge, often citing a slinkier feel on the strings. There are others however who will swear by a string-through design. Whatever your preference, you’re given the choice of both here!
The tone from a brass saddle has been a favourite feature of Tele lovers for a long time. The combination of this and a compensated design, allows you the chance to tweak your setup to precisely how you like it!

ROLLED FINGERBOARD EDGESDelivering both comfort and speed, the American Professional II “Deep C” neck profile is slim at the nut and fills out gradually as it approaches the neck joint to create a natural feel that’s perfect for chording and single note playing alike.
SPECIAL
ELECTRONICSA performance-friendly push-push switch on the volume control activates the series mode in position 2, using both pickups to create a fatter tone not normally found on a Tele.
ALDER OR
ROASTED PINEThis guitar is available in either alder or roasted pine (on select colors). Alder is a classic Fender tonewood with a balanced sound perfect for almost any genre. Roasted pine is a lightweight wood known for punchy and complex tone.
