Avid Pro Tools Ultimate is Avid's top tier audio production platform and the industry standard when it comes to audio production and feature film post production. Built to handle the very largest audio and film projects it offers scalable I/O, full immersive sound mixing including surround and Atmos formats, multiple video tracks, full synchronisation and timecode options and integrations with Avid's S6 console line.
Avid Pro Tools Ultimate can take advantage of the high I/O count, low latency and synchronisation options of Avid's HD Native and HDX cards, as well as harnessing the additional audio DSP of the HDX cards to run both AAX Native and AAX DSP plug-ins on one system, making this the platform of choice for intensive surround mixing projects. In addition, Pro Tools Ultimate can also be used with any ASIO or Core Audio device for smaller or portable systems with no loss of features (other than those provided by the HD Native or HDX Hardware).
Pro Tools Ultimate also includes all of the music production features of the standard version of Pro Tools, such as the full MIDI sequencing environment and on-board notation courtesy of the Sibelius scoring engine, plus the Avid video engine, meaning you can work with full HD video directly on the timeline rather than lengthy transiting, as well as supporting Avid Mojo and Nitris hardware plus third-party video play out devices from Blackmagic and AJA.
