Sharpen Your Hearing Take Control
Strix Raid Pro is a premium sound card set built with audiophile-grade components to satisfy gamers who demand ultimate audio performance. The simple yet powerful Sonic Studio sound utility and control box provides complete sound card control and allows instant in-game audio adjustments.

Gamer-Friendly Design: Instant in-game audio adjustment with Raid Mode
ASUS exclusive Raid Mode can be turned on right in the heat of gaming action with just one-click on the audio control box to provide the exact audio adjustment you want. With this powerful combination of Raid Mode and the audio control box, gamers no longer need to pause the game and open sound software to adjust their audio, ensuring they never miss a single moment of gaming action.

Gamers can save their favorite or most frequently-used audio adjustments — Equalizer, Bass Boost, Virtual Surround, and Mic Volume — into custom presets that they can instantly turn on or off with the dedicated Raid Mode button on the audio control box. It also has a convenient knob to adjust the Raid Mode intensity level.

Total Audio Control: Take complete control of your audio with Sonic Studio
Strix Raid Pro features the latest Sonic Studio software suite for full control over every sound technology, from equalization (EQ) to 7.1-speaker level-balancing. Sonic Studio has a single navigation page that puts everything in front of you, with an intuitive point-and-click interface that allows you to pre-set audio profiles to suit different audio requirements.

Gain the gaming edge with Sonic Radar Pro!
Modern games are more than graphics – precise audio positioning gives gamers a distinct edge over enemies. That's why Strix Raid Pro includes Sonic Radar Pro, an ASUS exclusive technology that visualizes and enhances in-game sounds, giving you a vital edge in first-person shooters.

Fire up your favorite game and Sonic Radar Pro displays a ‘radar' HUD (heads-up display) that pinpoints in-game actions relative to your position, so you'll know exactly where you are on the battlefield and what's happening around you!

Multiple radar-enhancers can be enabled in order to visualize and boost specific sounds such as footsteps, gunshots, and call-outs. Sounds are plotted on the 360-degree HUD, even when there's no clear line of sight, so invisibility is no barrier to pinpointing opponents, giving you a distinct advantage over other players!

What's more, Sonic Radar's on-screen appearance and position is completely customizable, so you can make it work just the way you want, with whatever game you want!

Rated 2 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not as good as I was hoping it would be Now, I have been using a Creative Recon3D with the 5.25" DVD Drve bay breakout Box, however it is starting to show itsage and so i was looking for something to replace it and I needed the ability to switch headphones and speakers, plus has Volume controls and this looked like it would fit the bill a treat. It has however been a slightly disappointing card. It has some lovely warm sound and has a smooth natural warming sound that is very much different to the Creative Recon3Dfor certain tacks, however, I have also found that when you listen very carefully, the sound does fluctuate very very slightly. almost as if the volume is being turned up and down by the tiniest little bit, but its definitely there. Being a fussy Audiophile, I have to say that this is a seriously irritating problem. Also when playing games, and it is under heavy load, I have found it can crackle and hiss. Not good at all. I have dug out the Xonar D2X from another machine, just to compare the two, and the D2X is definitely better and does not have that fluctuation that this strix card has. I was wondering if it is just my card, but Im not too sure. I have also tried the card in other machines and with other speaker setups, and the sound is certainly noticeably fluctuating on all the motherboards, and so I really need to hear another card of the same. I would NOT be buying another one of these cards and I will be replacing it with a different card sometime, but I am in no real rush. 23 February 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by EMI Shielding is mediocre. I bought this to power a meaty set of headphones (150ohms) as it had a built in amp. That part is fine. The software bundled is OK, It too has the responsiveness of a rock, with every adjustment of the equalizer having to make a save before any changes take place. But the real deal breaker is the amount of EMI (electro magnetic interference) that it picks up. I have a pretty decent gaming rig which may make a difference as the soundcard picks up the whirring from the two GPU fans, and the power supply as well as any EMI from the Motherboard. You also get horrible background noise when moving your mouse. Best bet is to get an external DAC and Amp, or external USB soundcard. If I could I would definitely ask for my money back on this product. 28 December 2015
