Product Overview The ASUS RT-AC68U is the world's fastest Wi-Fi router, with combined dual-band data rates of up to 1900 Mbps. 1300 Mbps 802.11ac at 5 GHz gives Gigabit wireless data rates, while Broadcom® TurboQAM™ technology super-charges 2.4 GHz 802.11n performance from 450 Mbps to 600 Mbps with compatible devices.

Powered by a dual-core processor, the RT-AC68U eliminates the performance drops that plague other routers with busy networks. So even on the busiest home networks, HD video streaming is always smooth, the latency low for online gaming and VoIP calls, and file downloads are never interrupted.

The RT-AC68U also features dual USB ports for file, printers and 3G/4G modems sharing and a USB 3.0 port for up to ten times faster data transfers than USB 2.0.
ExclusiveASUS AiCloud transforms your home networking into your personal cloud for easy streaming and sharing to smartphones, PCs, and tablets. Router-to-Router sync also makes it simple to sync files on USB-connected storage with other compatible ASUS routers for hassle-free sharing of large files with family and friends.

The easy-to-use ASUSWRT graphical user interface unlocks the power of the RT-AC68U giving robust control to optimize your network for you. 30-second set-up and easy traffic management means even network newbies can enjoy its sophisticated features, while power users will love its IPv6 support, multiple wireless SSIDs and secure VPN access. ASUS RT-AC68U Wireless Dual Band Router, AC1900 (600+1300Mbps), 4x GbE LAN, 1x USB 2.0/3.0 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from WiFi to replace the hopeless Virgin hub 3 I bought this WiFi Router to replace the appalling WiFi bit of the Virgin hub 3 cause that device would randomly lose signal . Since using the Asus ac68u WiFi has been rock solid

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, elegant, a little on the large side The browser based setup tool was easy to access and adjusted the layout when using a mobile browser. The link to set it up as an access point (rather than a router) was visible but not prominent. The front panel is quite stylish and the LEDs can optionally be turned off. The device itself is somewhat tall, and this could cause issues with raising the antennae to the best position when shelf space is tight. Wifi operation is smooth and reliable. Unfortunately due to brick partition walls the range isn't quite what we had hoped for (though still better than our old router) but using an extender has helped with no noticeable loss of bandwidth or stability in the zone covered by the main router. I had wondered whether it was worth forking out on a high-end router but with this Asus model I have not been disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exellent range and control. The device is extremely easy to use and set - up, It's a pity it dose not include a built-in modem. But it's easy to link to my old router.

Does it have a modem built in

HI, I'm thinking of buying one, but can you tell me if it support BT line, and does it have a modem built in, Thank You.
Asked by: MAXHIGH
It will require an external modem to function, if you're looking for an all in one ADSL solution you will need something like this LN54597.
