Back in 2016, we announced ROG Claymore, a gaming keyboard with a unique detachable numpad. It became a standout performance and was soon recognized as iconic gaming keyboard. Today, we’re redefining that icon with ROG Claymore II. The ROG Claymore II elite gaming keyboard delivers a host of features designed to give you exciting new ways to play. Create your ideal gaming setup by placing the new detachable numpad on whichever side you prefer; then choose between wired or wireless mode and light it all up with Aura Sync. And once you’re in battle, assume full tactical control with ROG RX Optical Mechanical Switches and customizable hotkeys. With its detachable numpad, two-mode connectivity, ROG Optical Mechanical Switches, and fast-charge function, ROG Claymore II gives you unmatched levels of versatility and exciting new ways to play.

Play It Your Way

The detachable numpad can be attached on either side of the keyboard, or it can be removed entirely if you prefer to use ROG Claymore II in TKL mode. It can also be programmed to be used as a macro keypad for complex in-game commands. This flexibility gives you various combinations to suit your play style and gaming setup.

Intuitive Control

The detachable numpad includes four media control keys that can be programmed into hotkeys for convenient productivity shortcuts or macro in-game commands. There’s even a built-in control wheel for quick volume adjustment.

Linear and Swift

ROG RX Red Optical Mechanical Switches are the first to be developed by ROG. Extensive research, testing and fine-tuning have resulted in switches with a 1.5mm actuation point for lightning-fast inputs. An initial force of 40gf prevents accidental keystrokes, and goes all the way up to 55gf for perfect rebound feedback. ROG RX Red switches provide a smooth and linear feel to give you near instantaneous response the moment you strike the key.

Light-Speed Actuation

ROG RX Optical Mechanical Switch uses light as a trigger, giving near-zero debounce delay time before a signal is sent, giving you an edge against other opponents. Using light as a trigger also allows a lifespan of up to 100- million key presses. (The lifespan of traditional mechanical switch is typically 50-million key presses).

Technical Info

In firmware, even though the debounce time is set as absolute zero, but this is limited by the IRPT (infrared phototransistor) which has a settling time delay of only 25 µs. We also set a 10ms “break” in between repeated triggers to eliminate unwanted double triggering.

Wobble-Free Consistent Keystroke

ROG RX Optical Mechanical Switch utilizes a unique hollow square stem, four corner latches, and X-stabilizer to eliminate key wobble and ensure consistent keystrokes.
