Read many reviews on the internet, many armature or just can't afford its complaining who would need such a mother board and HOW ridiculously expensive. how the sas controller has now catch..............why with it's 8 channels of Pci-e 3 bandwidth would it need catch? it simply does not need it with the spec's that it runs unless you running 8 drive stripes.
The dual M.2 drives unique to this mother board, sas full Pci-e + full multi card graphics, with no loss fully implemented. Who I ask has any board that is competition, simple no one. Well built fully functional and load it with Samsung 512g SM951 SSD drive read 2.2GB dual channel is mind blowing. Simply people don't complain about something you can't afford or understand, this board is excellent for people that understand it and can use it, it also has a longevity to it and will be on line for 10 years will pay for it self several times over. 6 core now another 12 I can add.
Only weakness so far Ram disc support, Asus look a far better implementation but never tried so don't know for sure.
If your looking for a long term platform, with many none conflicting features, then you can not go wrong with this mother board. If you the armature racing car driver after a cheap thrill, it simple not for you. I simple can't believe the hog wash I read about this board, it is a simply very professional implementation of the x99 to the top end of spec for the high end pro PC user to the semi work station market with bottom end server function. This board suits me I love it. I build once to last Q6600, x58 SDD re-tuned to make the difference, now x99, figurer's are stunning with two Asus Strix cards Wow and a third I can add with water cooling in the future. Horses for courses folks.
