Product Overview High Performance Thermal Compound for the Enthusiast
Turbo MX-2 is a high conductive and low resistance compound for components that require the best thermal dissipation. MX-2 is ideally suited for use in CPU, GPU cooling and other applications between power semiconductor components and heat sinks where high thermal conductivity is critical.

Features Main Features:
• High Thermal Conductivity
• Low Thermal Resistance
• Non-Electrical Conductive
• Non-Capacitive
• Non-Curing
• Non-Corrosive
• No Bleeding
• Odourless

No Metal Particles
Since the MX-2 compound does not contain any metal particles, there are no problems regarding electrical conductivity and capacitance. In contrast to silver and copper compounds, contact with electrical traces, pins, and leads cannot result in any damage.

Curing and bleeding of the compound is not possible. In contrast to metal or silicon pastes, this compound does not show decreasing performance over time, does not need to be reapplied and has a durability of at least 8 years

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

This TekSpek explains why you’d want to overclock your graphics board, the risks in doing so and how you can go about doing it.

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Stuff! used this on New i5 and arctic cooler and GPU - R9 380. was worth using as its good heat dissipation. 09 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Huge tube, great cooling Bought this when I needed to change motherboard recently; plenty of it left after re-applying to a couple of other PCs I have at home too. Keeps the CPU nice and cool too, not sure about exact temperatures (darn AMD) but definitely lower than they were before. 19 July 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by arctic paste very happy with it keeps my arctix freezer pro under 40c even playing all day on cod in my antec 1200 case 10 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by One of THE best Thermal interfaces! Short story; installed H60 on 3570k @ 4.0ghz, temps @ full load = 74c. Removed old stock Corsair TIM and placed MX-2 instead, temps at full load = 68c. Not a HUGE difference but every degree counts when overclocking. 28 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Does what it says Easy to apply. I put compound very thinly, on both heat sink and CPU! Lasts for years. 13 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by It works Easy to use application. Perhaps not the best on the market but good value for money 06 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 An old age favourite which always has a place in system builds This compound is a particular favourite of mine, which keeps having me reach for it in my box of bits. Application is a breeze, the consistency is creamy like and comes out of the syringe nice and easily. If you prefer to spread your compound then this spreads with ease and likewise with the BB/Pea application method as easily covers a CPU with the pressure of the heatsink spreading the paste out. The MX2 yields better results than Arctic Silver 5 (in my testing) and you do not run any risk of shorting components as it is non electronically conductive. This compounds also boasts an 8 year durability for those who want to apply and not worry about it in the future. For me, decent thermal compound is a must when building systems, and for the crazy price of less than £5 I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Give it a go, and you will be surprised just how much difference this makes compared to stock supplied thermal compound. 27 December 2013
