Superior WorkflowWith a wide variety of analog & digital connectivity, along with both USB & Thunderbolt™ ports for computer connection, the Discrete 4 Synergy Core provides more options than any DSP-equipped interface available. Four microphone inputs, four line outputs, a pair of monitor outputs, four headphone outputs and S/PDIF are available. You can digitally expand by using ADAT chaining. A pair of Word Clock outputs also let you distribute the interface’s highly stable clock signal across your studio. All outputs are DC-coupled.

For Windows users, Antelope Audio provides an incredibly fast and stable custom Thunderbolt™ driver which reults in sub-millisecond roundtrip latency. Thunderbolt is natively supported in macOS. Taking advantage of high-speed Thunderbolt, the AFX2DAW plug-in lets you use Synergy Core effects as inserts inside your chosen DAW. This simplifies workflow and enables easy, immediate effects automation.

A New Age Of Home RecordingThe Edge Solo is compatible with any preamp with 48V phantom power and is great for users that needa single microphone to record a range of sources. It performs with any type of audio – from vocals, guitars and drum overheads to speech applications, including voice over, dubbing, and audio books. The microphone emulations are available in VST, AU and AAX plugin formats for all popular DAWs under both macOS and Windows, regardless of the audio interface being used. An iLok 2 or 3 USB dongle is needed.

RECORDING & MIXING made easyDesigned for efficiency and versatility, the Edge solo features a modeling engine that saves studio-time whilsy keeping the creative dynamic in fast-paced recording sessions. It allows you to change your choice of microphone in real-time with a click of a button, without ever having to disturb the recording process, or record clean and try out different models in the mixing phase.

Although the Edge Solo works with any preamp, pairing it with the Discrete preamps of our Synergy Core interfaces unlocks the full potential of the real-time microphone emulations. When processed using the onboard Synergy Core platform, you can track with the emulations while enjoying imperceptible latency and zero CPU load.

Advanched MODELING ENGINEThe Modeling Engine is what makes the Edge Solo such a unique recording tool – a futuristic technology that brings a selection of timeless classics to your studio. To develop it, Antelope worked with several revered European facilities, making rigorous measurements and testing multiple exquisitely preserved vintage microphones, along with modern high-end classics. The accuracy of these mic emulations keeps the frequency response and color of the originals.
