Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product If you're looking for something to help with your productivity but also something to game with in your down time this will be the perfect brain for your computer build. All round great CPU handling anything I throw at it! Make sure to read the other reviews before you purchase so you grab the best components that match up with this CPU :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great CPU Really enjoying this 2700x. I moved from an i5 - 4670k and it has made a huge improvement for me in games and workloads. Don't bother to manual overclock, stick with ryzen master for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you have an aging 2500k like i did , get this cpu now and upgrade. I finally pulled the trigger and bought into AMDs Ryzens , Glad I did as it performs better than my sandybridge CPU that has served me well for several years. Im using a Crosshair VII x470 MB with some TeamGroup ( samsung B Die DDR4 which I had to purchase elswhere as Scans DDR4 selection is not very diverse with one brand to choose from) The CPU I have clocked it as high as 4.3 on all cores but is at rather high volts and fairly hot for my liking , so Ive settled for 4.2ghz 1.38V on all cores with Ram @ 3466 C14 timings Ive managed to boot with ram at 3600 C19 but it is very unstable to pass any stress testing, and can not get 3533 stable either future bios's may increase Ram Overclocking. So if you are buying DDR4 for this CPU do not go overboard and purchase 3600-4500 , instead I would recommend any of the 3200 Samsung B-die sticks at C14 due to they are pretty much guaranteed to work out of the box , plus have awesome Overclocking potential.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great All-round Processor Very good value for money. I was torn between this and an Intel Core i7-8700k but eventually settled on this. I am pleased with my choice and find multi-tasking is very smooth. I have found the platform is very stable (using a Gigabyte Aorus X470 Gaming 7 along with 16 GB of DDR4-3200) without any issues. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good CPU works well with Stock cooler Works flawlessly for me, picked this one instead of 8700K purely for streaming performance and 100% satisfied. RGB cooler in the box is OK, if you want 4.3HGz get a 240mm AIO, but stable in small cases with stock cooler at 4GHz. My first AMD CPU since Athlon XP, with x470 MBO excellent combination for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Productivity Beast Without a doubt, the best productivity CPU on a mainstream platform. When switching DDR4 Kits, remember too, clear the CMOS of the previous DDR4 Kit's post records. Gaming wise - 1440p and 2160p are currently (always) GPU limited! Should you want to future proof this for future gaming GPUs, which will become over 50% faster. Then, invest in a DDR4-3866 kit of Samsung B-Dies - use the Ryzen Dram Calculator to recalculate speed to DRR4-3400 with some very low-latency sub-timings. This can add up to 17% to gaming FPS - in testing results from 1080p resolution. Making this CPU tremendously good for gaming at lower resolutions and future-proofing it in the area of gaming FPS. For people building to the warranty specs (3 Years), then buy a Samsung B-Die DDR4-3200 plus kit and use the Ryzen Dram Calculator get some very low latency sub-timings at DDR4-2933 speed and again you will get much better gaming FPS for lower resolution gaming and again future-proofing your build. Use Memtest to validate those timings, (as an example 16GB kit) run 7 instances with 2000mb size and one with all available remaining ram not used by Windows 10. An excellent CPU.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ryzen 7 2700X Good morrow guys. I bought this product and it is amazing!! Absolutely worth buying. However.. just a heads up, I had so many issues with overheating - massively - it was shutting down and freezing etc. It turns out the default minimum power setting for the cpu was at 90% and max at 100%. I sorted it by the following steps: Settings - system - power and sleep - additional power settings - Change plan settings (AMD Ryzen balanced) - change advanced power settings - processor power management - minimum down to 10% Perhaps my 10% was cautious and perhaps there are alternative solutions, but I thought I would put this on here JUST in case it happens to you. Once again... buy this product. It is superb. I am thoroughly impressed.
