Product Overview Akasa K32 AK-CC7117EP01 uses a high engineering omni directional heatsink providing efficient CPU and motherboard zone cooling. Low noise 9.2cm PWM fan in killer Viper yellow uses Intel approved power management (PWM) where speed is regulated automatically by CPU usage. Under normal conditions the CPU fan speed is low ensuring low noise computing.

Intel approved pushpins ensure easy installation, reliable retention and maximum compatibility on both LGA775, LGA1155 and LGA1156 platforms without any mounting adjustment, pushpins will automatically slide into correct position.

K32 is designed to work with CPU’s up to 95W but greater cooling efficiency can be attained with efficient case airflow. Pre-applied high performance thermal compound ensures clean and easy installation.

Intel Branding Part I
Intel Branding Part I
Date Issued: 1st Jul 2009

Intel’s been on a mission of late. That mission revolves around grouping and standardising key technologies under various banners that are designed to ensure hardware compatibility and consumer ease of use. We’ll take a closer look at three such technologies that fall under the headings of Centrino, Viiv, and vPro, respectively.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

There’s been a lot of hype about Intel’s Core 2 recently, even since they launched Core in fact. Words like Conroe, Badaxe and Allendale have been flying around. The bottom line is that Core 2 is the name of Intel’s latest line of CPUs, based on a new micro-architecture, designed for speed and efficiency.

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.

Akasa K32 High Performance CPU Cooler for Intel S775/1150/1151/1155/1156 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good CPU fan I have purchased more than 5 of these fans for different projects. They are easy to install and have all functioned correctly. The clips are easy to insert, and release if necessary. I have used them on simple applications where CPU's have been used in the standard configuration and not overclocked. They come with a patch of thermal conductive paste already in place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and simple to fit Fitted this on a core i5 chip, exactly the same fitting as the stock cooler and so much quieter.
Date published: 2018-04-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than stock by a significant margin, Justifiable price. Given that the heatsink is around twice the height, the fan twice the size (and twice the maximum RPM in some cases), this will significantly drop temps from stock. Pairs well with cheaper overclockable chips (Pentium G3258 comes to mind), also with locked chips that you simply demand silence from. In my opinion, if you're not going for higher end aftermarket cooling, and you're just buying a 1150/1151 chip, you should probably get this, or a similar cooler.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from replacement for cpu fan needed a new fan as the old one broke a blade when blowing dust out of comp, works a treat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cool good little fan as my chip is only air cooled you have full control over the speed of this fan also lets the cpu control it which is even beater to give you a beater working temp and it looks good in my in-win glass case as you can see it
Date published: 2015-11-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good fan - could be a little quieter My old fan was noisy and the "legs" broken so I bought this fan after looking for one for one of the older CPU's. Everything required to fit it was there and the installation was a breeze. Good fan, fairly quiet and keeps the system cool. It could be a little more quiet though but that is only because of where the PC is that the noise is a "slight" distraction.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says on the tin quiet cooler for Intel you hardly hear the fan running inside the PC case also does a great job of cooling the processor.

Questions & Answers

will this fit a acer ax3950 pc

Asked by: Jade1975
Hello, Unfortunately, we don't have the dimensions of the Acer AX3950 system, I would recommend measuring from the CPU to the edge of the side panel to see the maximum height available. As long as this value is greater than 94.8mm then this will be fully compatible. Kind Regards,
