Product Overview Akasa K32 AK-CC7117EP01 uses a high engineering omni directional heatsink providing efficient CPU and motherboard zone cooling. Low noise 9.2cm PWM fan in killer Viper yellow uses Intel approved power management (PWM) where speed is regulated automatically by CPU usage. Under normal conditions the CPU fan speed is low ensuring low noise computing.

Intel approved pushpins ensure easy installation, reliable retention and maximum compatibility on both LGA775, LGA1155 and LGA1156 platforms without any mounting adjustment, pushpins will automatically slide into correct position.

K32 is designed to work with CPU’s up to 95W but greater cooling efficiency can be attained with efficient case airflow. Pre-applied high performance thermal compound ensures clean and easy installation.

Intel Branding Part I
Intel Branding Part I
Date Issued: 1st Jul 2009

Intel’s been on a mission of late. That mission revolves around grouping and standardising key technologies under various banners that are designed to ensure hardware compatibility and consumer ease of use. We’ll take a closer look at three such technologies that fall under the headings of Centrino, Viiv, and vPro, respectively.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

There’s been a lot of hype about Intel’s Core 2 recently, even since they launched Core in fact. Words like Conroe, Badaxe and Allendale have been flying around. The bottom line is that Core 2 is the name of Intel’s latest line of CPUs, based on a new micro-architecture, designed for speed and efficiency.

System Noise Reduction
Date Issued: 5th Mar 2007

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by replacement for cpu fan needed a new fan as the old one broke a blade when blowing dust out of comp, works a treat 12 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Buy Very good quality and value Very good quality and value Very good quality and value Very good quality and value Very good quality and value 02 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by cool good little fan as my chip is only air cooled you have full control over the speed of this fan also lets the cpu control it which is even beater to give you a beater working temp and it looks good in my in-win glass case as you can see it 12 November 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good fan - could be a little quieter My old fan was noisy and the "legs" broken so I bought this fan after looking for one for one of the older CPU's. Everything required to fit it was there and the installation was a breeze. Good fan, fairly quiet and keeps the system cool. It could be a little more quiet though but that is only because of where the PC is that the noise is a "slight" distraction. 13 August 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Does what it says on the tin quiet cooler for Intel you hardly hear the fan running inside the PC case also does a great job of cooling the processor. 11 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A bit noisy but keeps a 775 cool As per the description, it is a bit loud especially when the CPU (LGA775) get a bit busy. This is used in an old pc anyway acting as a home server. I can’t hear the server at night so I am happy. Overall I would say 5/10 for noise & 6/10 for cooling. Good build and easy install. 04 August 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good CPU cooler Brings CPU temps down quite well under load. Not too noisy either, great cpu cooler. 19 July 2014
