Akasa 3.5" Front Bay USB Panel with 2x USB 3.0 Ports + 2x 2.4A USB Fast Charge Ports for Charging Mobile/Tablet Devices is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product I have used this bay to connect an external Hard Disk docking Bay. I have not used it to supply charging power to an external device as I don't have any. Unsurprisingly the throughput I achieved was 2-3 time that compared to an external USB 3 hub. Using a 2TB toshiba drive it achieved Read Speed of 160.8 MB/sec and Write speed of 229.7 MB/sec even when 2 drives were simultanesouly being benchmarked

As usual Scan staff are correct and I had a senior moment, I can confirm the two orange USB sockets do NOT provide a USB data connection.
