Chassis Airflow
Chassis Airflow
Date Issued: 20th Oct 2008

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Product This case is good. Loads of room. The rubber moulds to stop the wires rubbing on the case keep falling off, also the locking in system for your dvd drives etc is poor and takes a lot of wiggling around to get it to lock correctly. 14 January 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by case really good quality case and big enough for even the huge graphics cards.also plenty of space for big cpu coolers and still leaving space for good airflow. 28 September 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful A little expensive, but worth it. The case is very robust and easy to build in. The included fans are very quiet and provide good airflow. The case has good features and allows for plenty of configuration flexibility. If you want to route your CPU power cable around the back of the motherboard plate, then you will probably need an EPS extension cable. 01 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's a Beast It's lovely, everything worked first time when I put my components in there, I think it's the first time that's ever happened for me. Be careful as it is very Big, I had to stretch my power cable out to get it to reach the motherboard input. and cable Tied it over the graphics card and around the heatSync. It only just reached. Looks good, the fans are very quiet. keeps my components cool with the massive bundled fans. 06 March 2014
