The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Aerocool 5100 Gaming Computer Chassis, Mid Tower, Side Window, 2x USB 2.0/1x USB 3.0, Mini ITX/mATX/ATX, Black is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wish I had spent more This was one of the cheaper ATX cases I found. It is for a second PC that I built with leftovers. The case looks ok, is black inside and out and didn't have any nasty sharp edges, it does look quite plasticky at the front, but there are a lot of holes for ventilation and clever mounting arrangements for cooling. Build is pretty poor but probably about right for the money. The panels are quite thin, and the 2.5" drive retention is loose, with only two screws at the rear of the drive and some kind of press down metal tab at the front which I had to bend to secure the drive. The 3.5" drive mounting is also not great and you need to remove the plastic front to put the drives in. Optical drives are even worse for mounting with little support on one side, and optical drives are more prone to vibrate. Cable arrangement is just ok, there are holes for the motherboard ATX cable, but most are badly placed for an AMD Mobo. Also the PSU at the bottom and cable routing holes means that the 12V P4 connector is stretched on my build. If I could buy again I would have spent more and bought a Corsair CX case which are much better quality. At the end of day it will do the job, but don't expect much.
