Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant (so far) This drive is astonishing value. I bought mine via Amazon a few months ago (Scan were dearer - but are now absolutely matching other online retailers). So far the drive has behaved impeccably & I love it. I store (CAD/GIS/ Music/ Video & all my important data) on this drive. It is quick enough over USB 3.0 & has had no problems at all backing up reliably every night via batch scripting. Size is only part of the equation, as reliability is even more important for back up. I treat my drives with respect - not too hot /not too cold / not too rough etc. & have never had a Seagate fail so far in 15 years. (Even my well documented failure prone 4 yr old 3Tb keeps going). So yes I recommend this drive unreservedly. But always back up often to more than one location unless you don't value your data.
