This is a more advanced Radeon RX 480 from XFX, when compared to their single fan RX 480. It boasts dual hard swap fans for easy cleaning and upgrading, among other clever technologies. Industry leading innovation and powerful performance enables the Radeon RX 480 to deliever premium experiences on high-end VR games, entertainment and applications. FinFET 14 technology empowers the Radeon RX 480 graphics card to operate at an intelligent level and with true efficiency.
Better PCD Design
Better design means higher stability and overclockability.
Custom Thermal Solution
Tailor-made heat-spreader and overall design give it the best perfromance.
The components heatsink and fan noise, we’re the best across the board.
Convenience & Flexibility
A built-in switch allows you to instantly change the BIOS options.
XFX’s exclusive components make it unmatched among the competition.
Patented snap removable fans lets you instantly upgrade and customize.
XFX's Patent Pending Hard Swap Fan Technology is an exclusive technology you'll only find on XFX graphics cards. This special technology allows you to take fans off instantly, making it easy to interchange with new fans of different colours or replace broken fans in an instant.
XFX's exclusive fan PCM circuit board is designed to make hard swap technology possible for the first time ever with GPU fans. It's also separated from the primary GPU board as an extra level of surge protection in the case of faults.
The XFX RX 480 RS series features an all new Unibody VRM Heatsink construction enable direct transfer to the primary heatsink and heatpipes. This unique combination of material and construction, embedded into this RX 480, enhances thermal efficiency by a total of 40%.
Intelligent Adaptive Fan Control is XFX's special fan control technology that automatically stops fans under low loads and then ramps up when needed to match the designated performance needs. So you can enjoy silence when watching movies but get the cooling you need when enjoying high perfromance games.
After countless hours of research, development, and testing the engineers at XFX have developed an all new VRM and Memory cooling technology, reducing temperatures VRM by up to 30' C and GDDR temperatures by 20' C. This is all done while reducing dB noise by an additional 5%, and it’s all embedded into this Radeon RX 480 graphics card.
*Image for representation of technology only, actual circuitry will vary by model.
The XFX Radeon RX 480 is designed with a full width solid aluminium backplate which provides reinforcement to prevent PCB bend which in cheaper cards causes instability and crashes.
Our competition uses only standard 6mm heatpipes while XFX uses thick 8mm heatpipes. While it seem like only 1.32x bigger it is infact 1.78x bigger in capacity. You would need almost twice as many 6mm heatpipes to transfer as much heat as our XFX 8mm design so don’t be fooled by the competition.
The competition might claim overclocking but it's simply software boosting, we don;'t do that, we give you 100% factory overclocking at the hardware level. This means our cards are designed and tested to maximize it's overclocking professional so our advertised overclocking is true and capable of constantly achieving the highest clock rate possible.

It's been a good start to the year for PC enthusiasts. Intel has unleashed the deca-core Core i7-6950X and Nvidia has served up a suitable partner in the form of the high-end GeForce GTX 1080. Handy, if you happen to have thousands of pounds to pour into your next PC, but for everyone else a more mainstream solution is needed to sate our appetites.
