Rated 5 out of 5 by Does everything you would expect Nice card from MSI, fits the red/black colour scheme I was going for. Temperatures have been mostly in the 60s, fans are nice and quiet and am getting great framerates at 1200p 09 October 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 360? No, 390x! A great value card matcges gtx980 in performance if not exceeding in some games. Some scoff at this being based.on older tech due to it being a rebadge of 290x, but think of it this way: nvidia had to create maxwell for the gtx 980s current performance, and all amd had to do to keep up was tune their current chips. Yes, nvidia runs more power efficiently, but in a year that is only an extra £30 on electric bill, less than a pint a month. At the current pricr this card is amazing value, but be warned it is 2.5 slots thick so if you want to crossfire you need at least 3 slots worth of clearance between them, so cheaper motherboards that have pci-e 16x slots 2 slots apart will not take 2+ cards 17 August 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent GPU with Prior to upgrading I had a XFX R7 270 2gb which is a low to medium performance based card, so getting this was a major upgrade. Pro's Pretty quiet even on full load Temps stay about 50'c Easy to clock Able to play Witcher 3 at Ultra settings (8AA Hairworks) 30fps, with no Hairworks close to 48-60fps Cons Driver issues at the start as windows detects it as a R290X not a 390X, but can be fixed if booting Windows in safe mode and going through the settings. Obviously googling will go into further specifics. 30 July 2015

Answer:
No. It just wouldn't work, the Mac Pro isn't made for this sort of stuff, it's the downfall of prebuilt PCs.

Crossfire

Hi,

I have heard that I can crossfire a 390X with my AMD Radeon R9 295x2 8gb, is this true? If so would it utilise all 16GB? and would adding this card see a big improvement in 4k gameplay? If so I would love to get this and a new 4k monitor and Scan is the only place I use :)

Answer:
You only crossfire the exact same card, and the R9 295x2 is already a dual 290s GPU so even if you could it would have poor results as 3 way GPU can have terrible results for gaming. And also Vram doesn't stack in Crossfire so the R9 295x2 only has 4GB Vram not 8GB.

Answer:
Hello,

No you cannot crossfire those to cards unfortunately. At present when using dual GPU's in crossfire/sli only the first cards RAM is used.

Thanks,

Blu ray playback

Hi, so far I'm struggling to get this card to playback bluray. it's all blockey (like a badly edited movie online) or has no playback at all.
Running windows 10 64bit. tried 3 different softwares only 1 got any playback. tried 15.12 driver and 16.16 driver. still same. reinstalled windows completely. same..
So far World of Warcraft seems ok...
Any ideas??

Answer:
hi,

sorry if this is late but.

i own an R9-290X and experienced the same issue but with standard DVD playback, i only had this issue after upgrading to windows 10.

have you tried googling 5Kplayer ? it is free and runs perfectly fine :)

tbh, i think the issue lies with MS ceasing native support for playback and making people buy the software =- not very nice of them! -=

the blocky playback can be poor optimisation of the software for playback, i ran into this with playback software on windows store =/.

again, apologies if this is late, but, i do hope it may help
