System Buses & Bandwidth

In computing terms, system buses are used to connect various components to the motherboard’s core logic and, often, to each other. Modern PCs run with a multitude of high-speed buses ranging from the interconnects between, say, the chipset and the CPU, graphics card, memory, and peripherals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from is it worth it? I changed my standard 8gb (2x4gb) Hynix memory for these but to be honest I have not noticed any performance increase at all only smoother startup processes. But at least I know the Corsair brand and reputation is second to none and reliability very high. As I use and recommend Corsair for laptop and desktop I am sure if you buy this you will be happy with your purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from These are just causing BLUE SCREEN problems! I bought this pair of 1600 speed Vengeance sticks because that is what is already in my Scan built gaming laptop, which is only a couple of months old. I have no idea why but since I added this pair I have had several Blue Screens? There is no logical reason for this because it didn't do it before and this memory is the only hardware addition to my laptop. Same Manufacturer, same speed, same model, same latency and same supplier as the initial pair which were built in on receipt, So they should have just increased my RAM from 8GB to 16 GB, which I read was better for SSD's, because it reduced the number of writes to disk, by keeping more stuff in RAM. These might be great for someone else, as my initial 8 GB pair were. But I can't in all honesty give these a good review when they seem to have caused me many crashes!

Are there any known timing issues with these modules

I bought a set of these to replace the Hynix 2 x 2GB 1066Mhz modules in my Fujitsu S710 (i5/540)Notebook as an upgrade. With the modules in, the notebook completes POST with no problems. Accessing BIOS etc can still be done. Booting either operating system ( Dual boot Win 10 and Fedora 23) causes the notebook to switch off when it switched video modes. Are there any known timing issues with this memory which may cause this to occur. Unfortunately manually setting timings in the BIOS is not an available option. BIOS has also been upgraded to latest available.

not as far as I know, but it might be that your system is not compatible with them ?due to different voltage (they should be backwards compatible with lower working frequencies slots/systems). I sugest to check the detailed specs for your PC / laptop. I hope it helps
