Product Overview To meet the requirements of current and future desktop computers, SilverStone created the Strider Gold S series power supplies. The Strider Gold S models are all new designs engineered to be the smallest, full-modular ATX power supplies at any wattage levels.

The Strider Gold S series includes wattage range from 550W to 1500W for a great variety of applications. With short depth designs, all models in the series are among the world’s smallest full-modular ATX PSUs. In addition to 80 PLUS Gold level efficiency, the Strider Gold S PSUs are built to meet very high standards in electrical performance with ±3% voltage regulation, ±3% ripple & noise, and high amperage single +12V rail. Other notable features included are 24/7 40? continuous output capability, low-noise fan, and multiple sets of PCI-E cables. For users looking for a power supply with faultless combination of compact size, performance, efficiency, and quality, the Strider Gold S Series is the only choice. Features • Compact design with a depth of 150mm for easy integration
• 80 PLUS Gold certification
• 100% modular cables
• 24/7 continuous power output with 40? operating temperature
• Class-leading single +12V rail

Reviews
Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by An effective product but lacking frills I was looking for an 850W PSU which would be fully modular and would also fit into the standard mount for a Bitfenix Prodigy. To that end this is a wonderful bit of kit and ticks all the boxes. There are, however, some things which you may expect that are omitted from this product. Firstly the wires are not coated in the usual cylindrical braided cabling you might be used to from Corsair or OCZ power supplies. In this instance the cables are actually like a number of small independently insulated wires which are then stuck together side by side in a kind of ribbon. For me this wasn't a problem as this actually seemed to help bend cabling over and round itself but it did seem less resilient and I can imagine it wouldn't take much to separate the wires in the ribbon if they were being constantly moved around or maybe if it was pressed hard against an acute surface for a long period of time. Again maybe not a problem but I was surprised to see this kind of cable in a premium grade PSU. Secondly I previously owned a normal size 850W PSU made by OCZ which was by no means the best PSU I've ever used but even that came with a kind of pouch into which you can store all the unused cables for the PSU. This PSU doesn't come with anything like that and really didn't seem to have much in the way of packaging at all. I'm not sure if it was particularly expensive to fit that PSU in a smaller space and therefore cutbacks were made to non-essential extras or if this is the usual kind of packaging you get with Silverstone products but I wasn't particularly impressed. To sum up overall is exactly what it says on the tin and nothing more 26 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for small cases Currently using this in my Bitfenix Phenom MATX, easily fits with space to spare for larger graphics cards. 28 January 2014
