750W EVGA GQ Series, 80 PLUS Gold, Hybrid Modular, SLI/CrossFire, Single Rail, 62.4A +12V, 1x135mm Fan, ATX PSU is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from (Near-)silent but deadly I've recently taken a disliking to my large PC case, and have downsized into a small footprint cube case. This didn't go well with my old non-modular power supply, however, as the huge tangle of cables sticking out of the PSU took up far too much room. I decided now might be the time to get a larger power supply anyway, because I wanted to test a Crossfire GPU setup which wasn't possible on my old 550 W power supply. 750 W seemed sufficient and so I decided to go with the PSU that seemed to strike the best balance between price and quality - which happens to be this one. I don't see the point in full modularity for an extra £40 or £50, because it's not like you can avoid having to use the motherboard ATX cable anyway. The power supply arrived in a nice box with all of the relevant cables in velcro ties. The cables are good quality, and are varied - for example, you get a mix of double and single 6+2 cables, which might make it convenient if you have graphics cards with different number of power connectors. One small complaint I did have is that the 4+4 CPU power cable can be plugged in wrong in the PSU end (ie. with the split side into the PSU, rather than into the motherboard as it should be), but it's keyed on the other end so that is only an inconvenience when setting up your build. The power supply has an ECO switch which turns the fan off at low power draw. I don't know what the threshold for the fanless mode is, but I can run a single notoriously inefficient R9 290 at a balls-to-the-wall overclock drawing at least 300 W without the fan turning on which is very impressive. With this single graphics card I haven't managed to get the fan to turn on with ECO-mode on yet, but it's not that loud anyway so I can't imagine it would get annoying. If you're drawing enough power for the fan to turn on I imagine the graphics card fan would be louder regardless. The power supply is also quite stable. I can run an R9 290 and an R9 390 in Crossfire, with the R9 290 overclocked to the 390's clock and memory speed, in benchmarks like 3dmark's FireStrike and Time Spy. I don't quite have the guts to run Furmark like this, though, mainly because I have a fear of house fires. However I sustained this load (most likely a total system power draw averaging around 650 W with peaks around 700 W) for at least two hours playing GTA V and Elite Dangerous which should tell you what this PSU is capable of doing. Sure, higher quality power supplies do exist in the world. If you want A-grade prestige you're probably looking for the top-tier EVGA Supernova, Corsair AX or Rosewill power supplies. However if you're just looking for a clean, quiet and capable power supply without an octopus-like gaggle of wires sticking out of the back, without going bankrupt in the process, then this might be the PSU for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the purchase I upgraded my Graphics card to EVGA 970 GTX FTW+ and this killed my old PSU, This can handle the card no problem, Also plenty of cable to adapt to the system you require even Molex adapters for older peripherals. Very quiet easy to install and allows for low cluttering of cables.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect PSU. I purchased this PSU after having issues with my old PSU when I upgraded to the Asus Strix 980ti Graphics Card. The 750W power and 80 Plus Gold certification its plenty now for this graphics card and I have had zero issues since installing. This PSU has had no problems with coil whine or fan noise and I am very pleased with that as it is supporting my i7 3770K overclocked to 4.4ghz and the strix 980ti on full OC Mode which can push past the 250W average power this card uses. So if anyone has an i7 overclocked and a high end graphics card this GPU is amazing. I have not yet tried it with any SLI or Crossfire setup so I can not comment on this type of setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock solid PSU with everything you need. The ideal PSU for any system builder who doesn't want the hassle and mess of unwanted or unnecessary cables cluttering up their case. Very quiet, no issues with power output or stability, pretty good price for the spec.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant, well worth the cash Absolute bargain for what you are getting, plenty of flat cables so enough for all your needs and easy to place to keep it tidy, had a seasonic before this and it's performing at the very least as well if not better,if you need a new psu then buy this over corsair or most other brands, really cannot praise it enough
