700W ThermalTake TR2 S, 80 PLUS, SLI/CrossFire, Single Rail, 1x120mm Fan, ATX PSU is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from MR This was a good purchase. So far so good, and I can barely hear it when my PC is turned on. Good product for my GTX 980 graphic card & for sensible price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it, you won't be disappointed - but buy a UK mains lead too. I have been running this PSU in my system for a month now for around 12 hours a day and since installing it my wife no longer complains about the jet engine in the living room. It is really quiet. I am using this in my system (AMD FX 8320 CPU, ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 motherboard, AMD R9-270x 2GB GPU, 32GB RAM, 4x SATA HDD, 1x DVD-RW). The important thing for me was that it had both a 4+4 CPU output and 2 6+2 GPU power connectors meaning I could run both my motherboard and graphics card without resorting to Molex Y splitters which cause unnecessary load and can be a source of problems. Compared to the PSU it replaced which released the magic smoke under load this PSU seems rock solid and lives up to the specs on the box. It is quiet (virtually silent day to day) and handles my PC specs with ease. I do not know if it is related but I have not had a single crash or blue screen whilst using Windows 10 since I installed this PSU. The cables are covered with sleeving which when combined with the long length makes cable routing a breeze and airflow is massively improved in my case because of this. If I had to find a fault with this I would say that the length of the 4+4 pin connector could have done with being a little longer - my PSU goes at the bottom of my case and the connector is at the top of the board. If the PSU was mounted at the top of the case (as many are) then this would be a non-issue, As it stands the cable is fed under the graphics card in the gap where the silver backplate goes. Had the cable been longer I could have routed it around the edge of the motherboard in the thermal dead zone with the other cables. Another (potentially large) issue I had was that the provided PSU mains cable was fitted with an EU not a UK plug. I had a spare PSU mains cable but if this is for a complete new build PC be aware that you would need to purchase a separate UK one. Under no circumstances should you try and run this through a EU-UK adapter plug - the load is just too heavy and there is a real risk of the EU plug being knocked out during use causing data loss or the risk of equipment damage. Am I happy with this purchase? Definitely. Super fast delivery, great cable length and the sleeving looks great. It would be great if Scan swapped the useless EU cable for a UK one, or made it clear that there was no UK cable in the box. Would I purchase this again or recommend it to a friend? Absolutely. Rock solid performance, almost silent in operation.
