Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dead on arrival Bought this in June, have only recently had time to install and set up Straight out of the packaging it will not work Will not Initialise, just keep getting the old I/O Device Error message Device Manager says it is there as does Disk Management Just will not initialise Have tried several Cable changes and Slot changes, and still same error message Have used WD Drives before and, for the most part, they have been ok

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Large Storage, seems reasonably fast I bought this as it had recommendations for being suitable for gaming, and our original hard drive was on the slow side for rainbow siege. Installed it as a 2nd drive, easy to format and so far its performing well, plays the games and loads fast without any problems. A lot cheaper than a similar size SSD, so all seems well at the moment. Reasonably quiet in operation and doesn't appear to get to hot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wd black and scan. You play games, want speed, want reliability, well don’t look anywhere else. This is my second wd black from scan, 10tb in total. I also bought my computer from them. Being an ex computer technician, quality and reliability are the most important factors, scan offer an extremely professional service with incredible support packages, I designed they built, I couldn’t be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Drive I have used WD disk drives for years as I find them very reliable with good read/write speeds. I stiil have some lower capacity ones I bought years ago when these were expensive running in an older PC without any problems.The older drives are a bit noisy but still working okay years on. This voluminous little beastie was bought as a storage drive to hold my continually increasing library of ripped CDs (over 2000 legimately converted to FLAC format) , downloaded music bought legitimately and my digital photography collection. It was very easy to multi partiton the drive to support this. The speeds are very fast and the drive is very quiet. Considering how the prices of HD drives have fallen this is very good value for money. Money well spent for a quality drive which should provide more than ample storage space for years.
