Reviews
64GB Kingston DataTraveler SE9 G2 USB 3.0 Flash Drive is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little USB drive. Overall a grate drive that I have no complaints about so far. I have been using it over about a two-week period very frequently and it has served me very well. Not the quickest drive out there but not a slouch either. Now onto the look of the drive itself, with an all metal housing extended into a large loop that in my experience is very durable. This housing helps dissipate the heat the drive creates evenly across the housing and helps the drive maintain performance over large read and writes. A feature that I have come across as well is the drive does seem to be quite water resistant, now I’m not saying go chuck it into the nearest liquid to test but mine has braved the washing machine twice now with no problem due to my forget full nature. This seems to be down to the tight fit of the drive into its metal housing. Now the measures that really matter, performance. I was able to get pretty decent speeds from my drive. 100 Mb/s Read and 60 MB/s was about average for me. Did do some larger file transfers and the drivers performance was pretty stable and on par with normal usage. I was moving a 25GB folder of photos and a 25GB zip of a game for by heavy use testing. Overall this has come to be my favourite line of USB sticks that I use. They are very reliable, decent performance and don’t break the bank was is there not to like.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice, cheap storage, 100MB/s read, but only 15MB/s write. I'm actually slightly surprised that companies would make a device with such a big difference between read and write speeds. I got 15 MB/s write, and 100 MB/s read. The write equates to a 3.5 minute wait for a 3 GB file - which is pretty appalling, my old USB2 sticks are all faster. Ultimately I can live with this as I want to use this as install media, the read speed is good, and I wont be writing to it often, but others might be very disappointed. Plus points is the construction is nice, and it's a cheap price for the storage size, but I suspect there are faster sticks available for a similar price.
