Rated 5 out of 5 by ExFactor Good buy (but be careful with your research) and Good service. :)
I bought this to replace the PSU in my ageing XP PC and found that I needed to purchase SATA > Molex adaptors to adapt it to that generation. THEN, very annoyingly, I found that I already had a brand new one from many years ago, stored in the garage!! Grrrrr. Of course that didn't NEED the adaptors.
Because my old selfbuild is 8yrs old, and becoming nervous because of the failed PSU, I decided that I would build a new system and have gone overboard with a 4th generation i7-4790/ Asus 97P system. So I thought that at least I could save the power supply cost. However, it turns out that 4th generation motherboards have different power connectors on the board which this PSU didn't have....Grrrr again.
Even at my ripe old age (should know better) 'you live and learn'.!!! Well, at least you should do! :)
The good part of the deal was the service. I've used SCAN since the early days of the MicroMart magazine, when they always advertised on the back pages. Not quite so competitive now but a very successful company with great service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JohnH2 Excellent for the price - longevity to be determined.
You should be aware that no power cable is included, but even so this product is excellent presuming it lasts for a reasonable time which I obviously cannot vouch for.
I am using it for an electronics project not a PC and I was relieved that it maintains regulation at zero load which cannot always be relied on. Also I accidentally shorted 12v and 5v outputs together and the protection cut both outputs with no lasting damage. This bodes well for the quality of the design.
The fan is very quiet (at the moment) and cuts out when the PSU is on standby. There is a mains isolater switch which is rare at this end of the market.

Not too shoddy, quite quiet but not silent. Only complaint is the lack of connections for things like PCI-E

Rated 2 out of 5 by Pinnacle Cheap for the reason
Has just enough connectors to connect two Sata drives and one optical Sata drive. It also has two Molex connectors that almost have no use for these days. If you planning to install graphics card then this PSU is not for you. There is simple no PCIe connectors that comes with this PSU. Although you can get the Molex adapter but its only good if your graphics card got no more than one PCIe connector. The wires are not shielded and 24pin ATX power cable barely reaches to the motherboard socket (especially if its located at the top) and so is 4pin ATX CPU cable. Because of the length of cables they cannot not be tidied up from behind and cannot reduce the air flow of the system. Further more the cables can obstruct some adds-on cards if they connected across the motherboard. Simply put it this PSU is only good for if you want to built a budget system nothing more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mousewise decent cheaper solution
I have been using these power supplies for low load computers for a while now and so far they have not let me down.
the price is very competitive and the quality is reasonable, better than more expensive alternatives with a decent finish and informative lable so it looks decent quality.
