The 4TB WD RED is a high-quality HDD that delivers incredible performance thanks to its easy to use 3.5inch form factor that is just 26.1mm in height, the drive uses IntelliPower. The WD RED HDD's technical highlight is it’s 6Gb/s interface, which is the latest SATA III standard. This drive in particular has a storage capacity of 4TB and has a 64MB Cache with an access time of 2ms.

These statements can't both be true.(according to western digital)
Old NASware 2.0 drives only support 1 to 5 Bay NAS Boxes
Newer NASware 3.0 drives support 1 to 8 Bay NAS Boxes
If you put 8 of the NASware 2.0 drives in an 8-bay NAS box they resonate together and quickly die. That's what the NASware 3.0 firmware fixes. (NB: Users can't change the firmware on these drives themselves due to the factory calibration required.)
