Product Overview The Intel SSD 750 Series is Intel's first PCIe* Gen3 x4 SSD developed for the client enthusiast and workstation markets. The Intel SSD 750 Series is architectured with the new high performance controller interface - Non-Volatile Memory Express* (NVMe') - delivering outstanding performance, low latency and Quality of Service. NVMe is a standardized interface that enables higher performance and lower latency than previous generations. The Intel SSD 750 Series offers capacities of 400GB, 800GB and 1.2TB in Add-ln card and 2.5-inch (U.2 connector) form factors.

The Intel SSD 750 Series is Intel's highest performing client drive specifically designed for the PC enthusiast and Workstation systems with demanding storage workstation requirements. Wth PCIe Gen3 x4 support and NVMe queuing interface, the Intel SSD 750 Series delivers excellent sequential read performance of up to 2.4 GB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 1.2 GB/s. The Intel SSD 750 Series delivers random read IOPS of up to 440K and random write IOPS of up to 290K for 4KB operations. Also, by taking advantage of the direct path from the storage to the CPU by means of NVMe, the Intel SSD 750 Series exhibits low latency of less than 20 ps for sequential access to the SSD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bought this cause I got sick of my m.2 drives overheating and throttling. Have had no temp issues with these drives, no throttling and its lightning fast, would recommend

intel 750

Hi will the Intel 750 Series 2.5" 400GB SSD - 2200MB/s Read / or the Intel 750 Series 400GB PCI Express 3.0 x4 NV Me work with the Asus Z97-pro motherboard at it's full speed. Kind Regards Brendan
Asked by: weaver
Providing you use one of your PCI-E 3.0 slots with the u.2 adapter for your motherboard and a PCI-E m.2 add-in card then yes 2 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (Single at x16, dual at x8/x8) is what the Z97-Pro is capable of, the 750 series only needs PCI-E 4x but it has to be one of the 2 PCI-E 3.0 slots you have.
