Dual RAID 1, RAID 0 or Single Disks
The RocketStor 6114V can host and manage a variety of configurations, such as dual RAID 1 arrays, a 4-drive RAID 0 array, or 4 individual hard drives.
RAID 1 provides a “hidden” duplicate of the source drive for each array – in a sense, and automated backup. In the case of a source drive failure, the hidden drive will automatically take over.
RAID 0 maximizes speed and storage capacity, but offers no data security in the case of disk failure.
