HighPoint’s RocketStor 6114V is the industry’s first 4-Bay USB-C RAID Storage Enclosure. It is the only USB 3.1 RAID enclosure in today’s marketplace capable of delivering high-speed, redundant RAID 5 storage for both Windows and Mac platforms. Unlike other USB 3.0 RAID 5 enclosures, the RocketStor 6114V is powered by the latest USB 3.1 Gen.2 connectivity and our industry-proven Value RAID Technology, which leverages the powerful system resources of today’s modern computing platforms to deliver highly affordable RAID storage solutions. This unique combination delivers up to 450MB/s* of real-world transfer performance, and up to 40TB of storage, all from a single cable connection!
Easily Connects to any computer with a Thunderbolt™ 3 USB-C, USB 3.1 Type-C, or USB 3.0 Type-A Port
The universal nature of USB connectivity makes setup and installation a snap; the RocketStor 6114V requires only a single cable between the enclosure and host system, and can be easily connected to a wide range of computer platforms and connector types.
The integrated USB 3.1 Gen 2 technology allows the RocketStor 6114V to be used with Thunderbolt™ 3 USB-C connectors, and is fully backwards compatible with USB 3.0/3.1 Gen1 Type-C ports. In addition, the enclosure can be used with USB 3.0 Type-A connectors via the included cable adapter.
The Most Affordable RAID 5 Storage Solution for Thunderbolt™ USB-C Ports
The RocketStor 6114V is the industry’s most affordable 4-Bay RAID 5 storage solution for Thunderbolt™ 3 capable host platforms. The RocketStor 6114V is fully compatible with Thunderbolt™ 3 USB-C connectors. Combined with our market proven Value RAID IP and 4-independent drive bays, the RocketStor 6114V is a truly viable alternative to high-priced Thunderbolt™ 3 based storage solutions.
Personalized RAID Storage
Dedicated RAID 5 Configuration
RAID 5 delivers an optimal combination of data security and performance; “stripe” RAID capability with protection for up to 1 hard disk.
This means your data will remain ready and accessible even after a disk failure.
Dual RAID 1, RAID 0 or Single Disks
The RocketStor 6114V can host and manage a variety of configurations, such as dual RAID 1 arrays, a 4-drive RAID 0 array, or 4 individual hard drives.
RAID 1 provides a “hidden” duplicate of the source drive for each array – in a sense, and automated backup. In the case of a source drive failure, the hidden drive will automatically take over.
RAID 0 maximizes speed and storage capacity, but offers no data security in the case of disk failure.
Configure Arrays in 3 Easy Steps!
RocketStor Manager Solution
Creating arrays has never been easier! Each RocketStor 6114V includes an easy to use, web-based management utility. The built-in Array Configuration Wizard allows users of any experience level to create any type of RAID array in three easy steps.
Advanced Management Features allow customers to configure Email notification to inform one or more users of changing storage conditions while outside of the work environment, and manage storage remotely via a local network connection.

You've probably read the USB Tekspek, and perhaps your intrigue, or product interest, has lead you to look up Firewire as well. The two are similar in some respects, particularly some of the products that use the two technologies. However, Firewire has its differences, which means it has both benefits and drawback when compared to USB. This Tekspek will look at Firewire and also look at it with respect to USB.
