SCAN 3XS CARBON X

The X99 Carbon X has a 12GB NVIDIA TITAN X graphics card along with the 6-core Intel Core i7 6800K which is water-cooled and overclocked to 4.2GHz. This is not only a much more powerful CPU than the i7 6700K included in cheaper PCs, but also gives more bandwidth to the graphics cards. Also included is 16GB of 2666MHz Corsair Vengeance DDR4, an Asus X99-A II motherboard, a 500GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD and a 2TB hard disk.

THE BEST GAMING PCs

With hundreds of components and thousands of possible combinations, choosing a new gaming PC can be a difficult process. This chart will help you by suggesting which NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics card and PC is right for you.

By experience we mean the quality of the graphics and the frame rate that you will experience. A fast frame rate is crucial as it means the on-screen action is smooth and seamless, while a slow frame rate means the on-screen action is jerky and irregular, making aiming weapons impossible. Also bear in mind what resolution gaming monitor you want to game on - a higher resolution monitor makes games look sharper and clearer - but requires a more powerful graphics card. The following table shows what quality settings and resolutions the most popular NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics cards have been optimised for.

Graphics Card Best For Optimum Resolution
GTX 1050 Online games such as DOTA 2, League of Legends, Minecraft, World of Warcraft 1920 x 1080 (Full HD)
GTX 1050Ti High quality settings in all games 1920 x 1080 (Full HD)
GTX 1060 High quality settings in all games 2560 x 1440 (QHD)
GTX 1070 Maximum quality settings in all games 2560 x 1440 (QHD)
GTX 1080 Maximum quality settings in all games 2560 x 1440 (QHD)
or 3840 x 2160 (4K)
TITAN X Maximum quality settings in all games 2560 x 1440 (QHD)
or 3840 x 2160 (4K)

WHY BUY BUILT?

Professionally Built PCs vs Self-Built

Anyone can build a PC, so what really makes the difference between any old PC and a 3XS PC? For starters, our team has been designing and building PCs for more than 20 years, so we have a huge amount of experience in building highly reliable systems that deliver the most performance for your budget. These are the benefits you receive when buying a professionally built 3XS system versus building a system yourself.

NO COMPATIBILITY HEADACHES

It can take weeks to research the right combination of components, not just to ensure you get the most bang for your buck but to minimise the chance of one component being incompatible with another. Whether you buy a system from our configurator or a custom spec system our engineers will do all this hard work for you, ensuring that when your system is delivered it performs flawlessly.

INTENSIVELY TESTED

Building a PC only takes a few hours, but installing all the software and making sure that everything is configured properly and that your software runs stably takes up a huge amount of time. By ordering a 3XS system our engineers take this painful process away, as all our systems undergo a strenuous Quality Control procedure which includes updating Windows, installing the latest drivers and motherboard BIOS. Overclocked systems receive an additional 24 hour burn-in test to ensure stability.

PEACE OF MIND

Unfortunately PC components do occasionally fail, and when this happens if you’ve built your PC yourself you’re on your own. However, with a professionally built Scan 3XS system you’re no longer alone. Our technical support team is available 7 days a week, from 9am to 10pm Mon - Fri, 10am to 6pm on Saturdays and 10am to 4pm on Sundays. Click here for more info on how to get technical support for your 3XS system.

If our support team is unable to fix your system remotely and it’s still under warranty we’ll either send out an engineer to visit your home or office or repair it or have it repaired in our state of the art factory in Lancashire.

A WORK OF ART

We don't just build PCs in our state-of-the-art factory, we craft them. For instance, we route and tidy all the cables around the sides of the case. This not only makes your PC look great and easier to upgrade in the future, but eases airflow through the case resulting in a cooler and quieter PC. In addition, we can customise your PC for you, not just the components inside but also its appearance, so if you fancy a PC in an unusual shape or colour we look forward to hearing from you.

WIDELY ACCLAIMED

Our 3XS PCs have won hundreds of awards in the press from publications such as Custom PC, Develop3D, Expert Reviews, HEXUS, PC Gamer and PC Pro. In addition 3XS has won Custom PC’s annual Dream PC competition every year it has run since 2007. You can read all our reviews here plus customer reviews on the configurator.

RAPID DELIVERY

Sometimes you just need a system right now. Maybe your existing system has kicked the bucket or you’ve found that your old workhorse can’t hope with the latest game or application you just bought. F-series systems are pre-built and tested in our factory, so can be collected same day or delivered next-day to your home or office.

WARRANTY & TECH SUPPORT

Another key difference is that all Scan 3XS Custom Series PCs are covered by our Premium 3 Year Warranty. This means that if your system develops a fault in its first year we can send an engineer to your home or office to repair it. In the remaining two years of the warranty we'll still repair or replace any faulty parts, but do this from our state of the art factory in Lancashire. Click here for more info on how to get technical support for your 3XS system.
