Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bundle I hadn't built my own PC since the early 2000's, so I wanted to ease myself back in to PC building and this bundle helped make things a bit more straightforward. No problems installing the motherboard in the case, saved time as the cpu and ram were already installed on the motherboard. Installed Windows with no problems and have had zero problems since. Performance is very good and a nice step up from my previous Skylake i5 PC. I combined this bundle with my existing hard drives, a Thermaltake V200 case and Gigabyte 5700 XT.

The fact that system is pre-overclocked wasn't something I was really looking for but is a nice touch. Everything was installed and running in no time at all. I was a bit confused though as some reviews state theirs came with the rgb cooler and mine did not. Not really a big deal as temps seem to be well within normal for an overclock on stock cooler. Very happy with the purchase and the build quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bundles can be problematic Overall the bundle is reasonable value, and when it works it makes for a nice mid-range system. However, as it comes assembled you have to live with any problems as you would for a fully built system. You are not supposed to take it apart for instance to work out why its failed this time: the whole lot comes with a single warranty. So essentially it either works or it doesn’t. Also the build warranty states you can’t fiddle with the BIOS settings, which may prove problematic for some. SCAN have been very good about taking the board back the first time for what turned out to be a trivial fault (the processor dislodged slightly in transit). There is a reason I wouldn’t go elsewhere. But that still leaves you out of a system for a week or so. So overall I am not sure I would go down this route again. You loose all the flexibility you get with doing everything yourself: and the ability to at least diagnose faults. In theory its all tested before it goes out, but if that matters you might as well try one of their pre-built systems.

What cooler does this bundle ship with?

In the product description it says this comes with the AMD Wraith Prism RGB cooler however in the picture it shows a much worse cooler. Does it definitely come with the Wraith Prism?

Yes there will be two empty ram slots as the kit that comes with it is 2x8gb and the board has 4 slots.

Is the Specification right?

The specification says that it is an A320 board. Is that a mistake? (Probably). If you have a cpu that does not have onboard video, isn't a board where a GPU which takes 2 slots and therefore covers one PCI slot a bad idea? Isn't one of the PCIe slots going to be covered? And won't using the remaining PCIe slot possibly obstruct airflow to the GPU fans? Incidentally the review of the board itself is not very complimentary, so presumably the 7 complimentary reviewers here don't need any PCIe devices and the board reviewer has had an out of the ordinary bad experience..

Hello, Firstly I have amended the Specifications showing an A320 Motherboard, thank you. As this bundle is designed to be a budget offering, for use in lower end systems we typically find that most people purchasing it wouldn't need to fully populate all of the PCIe slots. At most we would see a graphics card in the top slot (and likely covering the second slot) along with a small wireless card which we find not to have an effect on the graphics card temperatures. This bundle is also able to be installed in a chassis only supporting up to MicroATX form factor motherboards.
