Rated 5 out of 5 by liamcoen from Great ultra wide curved monitor - best all rounder IMO The Dell U3415W is a great monitor which I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for an ultra wide monitor whether it's for work/productivity and/or gaming. From the current range of ultra wide monitors you can buy right now, I think it's the best 'all rounder' in terms of quality, value for money, performance, functionality and aesthetics. I bought 2 of these monitors, 1 for me and 1 for my wife. The packaging is very good and the box each monitor comes in massive! I use a custom PC for work/gaming and my wife uses a 2016 MacBook. We've both had issues with the monitors not displaying anything for a few seconds once the respective computers are powered on. Occasionally, the screens go blank and then come back on again. I'm not sure if this is due to the cable and/or display settings or the drivers we're using. Gaming is OK but there's noticeable screen tearing when playing fast-paced games but I've just purchased a new custom PC with a GTX1080 so I'm hoping it will resolve that.

The curve is very subtle - I sit quite close and maybe a stronger curve would be even better for me. Very happy overall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cj2oker from Nice Curved Monitor My 24' Dell went off after 7 years service, i believed that it is the time to get somethings more interesting...As all other said, a bit backlight leak can be detected, however it still maintain with a acceptable level. Except that, everything works perfectly. As a 34' monitor, i have to mention that ultra setting for some hardcore game is definitely under the pressure. In that case just retired my old graphic card, got GTX Titan X instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nick5ter from Great for Productivity Was deliberating over which 21:9 screen to get ranging from £300 all the way to £1000. I'm certainly not disappointed with this screen, tough G-Sync and FreeSync are both technologies I decided to live without... I guess that it maybe down to the fact that I have yet to see either in action. I decided to go with the Dell Screen for the fact that they provide premium support and it was a reasonable price. There is some noticeable backlight bleed/IPS glow but I suspected this may of been the case when purchasing it. I did notice on day one that there was a stuck pixel but this soon disappeared the next day. DP1.2 does seem to have problems maintaining the signal and the screen does black out with either your own cable or supplied cable, Turn this off from within the monitor menu... obviously the only downside to this is that you loose the ability to daisy chain the displays off each other, I cant speak for if this is a problem while daisy chaining though. If gaming is your thing then your need a say at least a GTX980Ti to experience this to its full potential, I currently run a GTX970 and to be totally honest get away with a lower resolution on most, so its not totally impossible. Overall the I am happy with the display and can live with the quirks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JSnaith from Great on the surface, but... The product is impressive on arrival, weighing a reassuring amount and taking up a commanding amount of space. On its first load the screen looks quite stunning, though the sheer width is almost intimidating at times. The image quality is robust and colourful - when avoiding the presets that is. Of course if you want a heavy green, yellow or blue filter for your screen then the presets are ready and eager to provide. Even the sound bleating out from behind the screen is of reasonable quality, though somewhat tinny, as would be expected of such a device. A good start, to be sure. But alas, the problem begins to creep in, with an insidious certainty that wears down any confidence in the Dell. The overwhelming bleed. It seeps in and makes a subtle, growing, expanding presence on the screen. Of course, light images cause it to fly the scene, waiting for the moment when the lights dim and darker images become the main course once more. In short, I started in awe and ended with a sigh.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kingy from Close but no cigar This is a tough review as I have mixed feelings about the screen. First of all well done to Scan, top service and delivery. My only real issue with the screen is the extent of light bleed. Its really quite bad and I had considered a return. I read quite a lot online and it does seem to very common so my real decision was a refund as exchanging wouldn't have helped. All that aside once your using the screen on anything but black you quickly forget about these issues as its a great experience. So far played dying light, mad max, crisis 3, dirt rally and everything looks stunning, really adds to a gaming experience and I'm not sure I could ever go back now. For work the dell split screen software works well.
