Product Overview Professional productivity
BX Series monitors are designed to be ultimate productivity platforms. A huge ultra-wide display gives you lots of space to multitask and advanced features, like Adaptive-Sync technology, provide a professional-grade experience.

Productivity
Improve multitasking with massive 34 inch screen[1]. Ultra-wide 21:9 display ratio is perfect for editing multiple documents or images. Picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture modes offer even more productivity.

Pro-visuals
Enjoy deep colour and wide viewing angles with an IPS[2] display. A 100% sRGB colour gamut ensures accuracy for colour-sensitive work. High-bandwidth HDMI 2.0[1] and DisplayPort 1.2 bring you high-resolution content at high frame rates.

Adaptive-Sync
With Adaptive-Sync[1], the display’s refresh rate is synced with the frame rate of a graphics card. This makes gaming and video playback much more smooth, while simultaneously lowering power usage when a high refresh rate isn’t needed.

Modern design
BX series monitors sport ZeroFrame bezels[1] for immersive multi-monitor setups. A minimalistic aluminum base saves desk space and creates a premium look and feel.

Reduce fatigue
Easily tilt and adjust the height of your display to find a comfortable viewing position with Acer ErgoStand. Acer EyeProtect technology helps protect your eyes from blue light and reduces flickering, glare and more.

Reviews
34" Acer BX340CK Ultrawide, LED-backlit IPS LCD Panel, 3440 x 1440, 6ms, 320cd/m², Speakers, DP/HDMI, USB Hub, Black is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Been looking for a new monitor for a while. Was actually using 3 x 1080p screens. This is way better. Amazing picture quality and brilliant value for money. I actually bought an LG 2560 x 1080 144hz screen by mistake initially at £200 more. After swapping the LG for this higher resolution model I was not disappointed. Can't see why you would pay £700 plus for an ultrawide - this one is simply amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 34" of quality. I've been looking at this monitor for a while wondering whether to go for it or not...very pleased I did, it's absolutely spot on. 5 stars overall. I had a 2 x 22" 1920x1080 setup and was worried I'd lose some of that screen real estate but the 3440x1440 of this monitor more than makes up for it with the added bonus that I no longer have 2 monitors at an angle. I've not calibrated the screen yet as it's just so good out of the box. Resolution gives the screen a sharpness that makes my old monitors look dull by comparison. Colours are solid with great depth and while I thought my old monitors were good enough I'm now seeing colours as they seem they should be. Screen has a very fine matt finish which for me is perfect, I'm not a lover of the gloss/shiny finish. Not so matt that it makes the screen dull though. Viewing this monitor from any angle gives the same level of quality; I guess you're not going to sit anywhere but towards the middle with one this wide but for those maybe considering 2... Controls are instinctive; whilst not being labelled on the bottom bezel, as soon as you press the button on the left the rest become labelled on the screen and I've yet to have one of those confusing moments where you're not sure which to press next. All very easy to navigate. The lack of bezel to the top and sides is a nice touch and gives the monitor a real premium feel, just as well when you're paying this much. Connections are all in the usual place and well spaced, nothing spectacular going on there but then why would there be; the addition of a USB3.0 hub [2 ports on the left side of the monitor as you look at it] is great, can save messing about reaching down to your case. A good solid stand with height adjustment but it's foot print is pretty big and if your desk butts up to a wall [like mine] you may find it sitting a bit too far forward; that really depends on your desk of course. I've opted for a single post desk mount attached to the VESA mount points and that's given me my desk space back...I do have quite a small desk though. Only one downside and I doubt that when paying this much you're buying for anything than quality of image; the sound from the built-in speakers is pretty poor, bearable at a pinch but poor none the less. I turned my proper speakers off to try it out and they went straight back on again. That's my only gripe though and only mentioned for the completeness of the review. Screen width measured across the bottom - 825mm Screen height [without stand] - 375mm Box size - 390 x 540 x 940mm Comes with USB3.0 cable for hub, both Euro and UK kettle leads and a Display Port cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Monitor, Best Value Flat Panel Ultrawide I've been searching for an ultrawide monitor for a long time now to replace an ageing triple monitor setup, and prices seem to have spiked which put buying one out of the question. Then i stumbled across this very well priced Acer BX340cK, with hardly any information or reviews online, I was dubious. However, I gambled and went for it. All of my doubts vanished when the Ford Fiesta sized box arrived at my door. The mammoth monitor comes 'Ready to Play' with no stand assembly, just unwrap power on and go. The resolution of 3440x1440 is amazing and with stock 75hz straight out of the box when using the supplied display port cable, the performance was instantly noticable compared to an existing 60hz 1080p screen. The screen is excellent for productivity, and can fit 2 full sized application windows, or a full screen Youtube video and secondary page all infront of you. There are plugins available for Chrome/ Firefox to allow 21:9 content to play full screen with no black bars on the top and bottom. I managed to easily clock the screen to 80hz via Nvidia Control Panel but I imagine it can go faster. This is where I hit my first negative. When playing some games at 75/ 80hz I have very noticable screen tear , with Vsync enabled or disabled. There maybe many reasons for this, probably my rather old Nvidia GTX 780, but a temporary fix was to set the monitor back to 60hz which removed all tearing. Im guessing that the adaptive sync on this monitor maybe better suited to AMD cards which may remove the tear at higher refresh rates. Other than the refresh rate issues, the monitor is fantastic for gaming and the immersion is fantastic, with excellent FOV . I havnt found a game that doesnt support 21:9 aspect ratio, but many of the games that dont can be modded/ tweaked easily to run native 21:9. Sound is as can be expected from monitor speakers, if you are spending £000's on a screen, you should probably have a seperate sound system. The included speakers are adequite for everyday tasks, but dont expect them to do justice to movies/ music. Stand is matte metal and good quality, with height and tilt adjust. Full height stands at 58cm tall and lowered can go down to just 45cm (Couldnt find this info anywhere online). The stand does make the monitor sit forward quite far on a desk, 28cm from the back of the stand/desk to the screen front. So make sure you have room for it. Overall this monitor is fantastic, and from the specs, appears to just be a non curved version of the Acer XR342CK which recieved great reviews. Resolution is great, size is beyond belief and needs to be seen in person to grasp the full scale of it. Only (small) downsides for me are the high refresh rate tearing issues on my old GPU and the rather deep stand. But a wall mount is on its way to remedy this problem, and im sure a new GPU will follow soon after. My advice if your on the wall, buy buy buy! Big thanks to SCAN for very quick dispatch and good comms.

Questions & Answers

What model is this exactly?

The listing and description of the product states that it is Part Number: UM.CB0EE.001. This is the 3440x1440 maximum resolution model. Also known as the Acer BX340CK. However the name of the product in the title states that it is Acer BX340C which is a 2560x1080 display, part number UM.CB0EE.005. I'd like to confirm which of these this actually is? Kind Regards,
