Choosing a monitor is not an easy decision to make, and not just because of the large number of variations in resolution, refresh rates, sizes and connectivity options. There are also varying panel technologies used to form each display that need to be considered. These panel technologies can be grouped into three broad categories which cover the vast majority of monitors sold in the consumer market.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mediocre monitor, not crisp, rubbish colour accuracy. This monitor was bought as an upgrade from a Dell P2415Q and I was more than disappointed. The panel itself looks fine and the only gripe with the pedestal is the cable management which is poor. The biggest problem is when the panel is switched on. The colour reproduction is very poor. In all the modes except "cinema" the gamma settings within the monitor mean that you cannot get good colour preproduction whatever you do. Even in "cinema" mode I've not been able to get it fully calibrated. The monitor is also very susceptible to colour banding in gradated colour areas. Surprisingly the monitor's pixel reproduction is iffy. For some unknown reason (for a digital only monitor) it has a "Sharpness" control setting which either at low settings makes the display fuzzy or, at higher settings, produces sharpening halo artefacts. There is no setting where it doesn't have either one or the other. The monitor is also marketed at having a very high response time. In my experience it's actually slower than the Dell it's replacing, even with the "Trace Free" overdrive system set to full. Over all I'd say avoid this monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect screen for gaming, and copes well with switching/ supporting multiple inputs! Original screen turned up damaged, but was quickly replaced. The screen is amazing, had a sturdy/ajustable base, great picture quality and it's very easy to swap between inputs/navigate the menu. Would definitely recommend :).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic bargain for a 4k monitor People are generally worried about the pricing of 4k but this proves you don't need to spend £1000+ to get something good. My first 4k screen and its like having my eyes opened for the first time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant for single screen gaming! A** I have this as my main gaming screen. My second is only a 1080p one, but now my rig is ready for future 4K titles! :D

Would this Monitor be perfect for PS PRO?

Asked by: Cart
I am currently using it with my PS4 Pro and the 2.0 HDMI slot works perfectly with that giving me 4k resolution. Only downside is that It only has 1 single 2.0 input, and the rest are 1.4.
