XB1 series monitors are packed full of features to choose from. Create your own ultimate gaming experience with extreme resolutions, fast refresh rates, IPS[1] technology and more[2]. Standard features like GameView and NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ make every choice a good one.
Features Pixel power
Gaming monitors used to sacrifice colour for speed, but now there’s no need to compromise with a range of gorgeous and powerful displays. IPS[1] technology provides rich colour and you can even overclock to 165Hz[2] of gaming glory. Once you try it, you won’t go back.

NVIDIA® G-SYNC™
Get the smoothest gaming experience on the planet with NVIDIA® G-SYNC™. G-SYNC™ eliminates screen tearing and minimises stuttering by syncing the refresh rate of your monitor with the frames rendered by your GPU. This is legendary PC gaming.

Seize control
Take charge of any situation with Predator GameView. Adjust dark boost levels, make precise colour adjustments and set up aim points for hip-fire accuracy. Save custom settings in three profiles you can switch between at any time.

NVIDIA® ULMB
Tired of that ugly motion blur when you drift around corners? Get a superb racing experience with NVIDIA® ULMB[2] (Ultra Low Motion Blur) technology for crystal clear gameplay at high frame rates.

All the colours
Good colour brings game worlds to life and lets you pick out enemies with precision. We managed to get the XB1 series up to 100% sRGB[2]. Now that’s some accurate colour!

Get comfortable
Predator EyeProtect’s Flicker-less, Blue-light Filter, ComfyView and Low-dimming technologies minimise eye-strain from long gaming sessions.

Choosing a monitor is not an easy decision to make, and not just because of the large number of variations in resolution, refresh rates, sizes and connectivity options. There are also varying panel technologies used to form each display that need to be considered. These panel technologies can be grouped into three broad categories which cover the vast majority of monitors sold in the consumer market.

27" Acer XB271HU G-Sync LED Monitor, 165Hz IPS Panel, 2560x1440, 4ms, 100,000,000:1, HDMI/DP, USB, 2x Speakers, Grey/Red is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply stunning After having a bad experience with an Asus PG278QR monitor which I got a refund for I decided to take the plunge and go for this Acer monitor instead due to the price cut. I have read all the horror reports about back light bleed mainly for the Asus PG279Q and was worried this would be the same for the Acer version that uses the same panel. Well what can I say...this monitor is amazing! The viewing angles are incredible with all the colours being vibrant and images very sharp and gaming on the monitor is breathtaking. Amazingly this is £150 cheaper than the Asus PG279Q and the monitor I got has no backlight bleed and no dead pixels whatsoever. I may have been lucky but I cannot fault this monitor in any way. The only let down I had was that there was a missing HDMI cable in the box. This is no fault of Scan.co.uk and they sent me out a replacement cable immediately which just shows their wonderful customer service. Buy this monitor now and you will not regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best upgrade ever Id been using a few tv screen for the past 6 years and they werent even true 1920x1080 were some strange 1766x992 and pretty sure it wasnt even 60Hz So going to 1440p everything just looks beautiful I can still run games on high settings on my 680 4Gb but upgrading soon so I can truly appreciate the screen. the 145Hz is nice havent tried to overclock it to 165Hz with the os of the screen but apparently it increased response time? Some people say the asus on screen setting menu is nicer but how often are you really going to fiddle with it I was worried about dead pixels and glow but didnt get any defects with this monitor which I think is mainly due to when you do get a defect youre more likely to write a review stating that and now if its perfect Pros - IPS gsync easy to navigate os thin bezel Cheaper than the asus Cons - Id never had to mount a screen on its stand before and it felt a bit precarious doing it by myself so recommend that you do it with two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb screen for gaming AND work! Had this monitor for a few months now and I'm so glad I didn't cheap out on a 144Hz 1080p TN panel! This huge 27" beauty of a display is bright and vivid. The IPS color accuracy is a great thing since I'm a photographer and a graphics artist - the colors come to life! So I'd recommend this screen even for artists who don't game. 165Hz - LOVE IT! Seriously, everything feels so much snappier at high refresh rates: Working in Windows, software, games - everything! There's more than 3x less delay and more than 3x the frames shown as compared to a 60Hz display so everything is THAT much smoother. I'm running two GTX 1080s in SLI, an i7-5960X at 4.6GHz and 64GB DDR4 along with terabytes of SSDs so a screen of such caliber was the only obvious choice! G-Sync is also something I HIGHLY recommend. It eliminated all the stuttering and tearing in games, especially with SLI where there used to be some problems in certain games. You can just run the monitor in G-Sync mode and forget about the rest - it's THAT good. Glad I bought a screen having it. The screen has a 4-port USB3 hub. Convenient to connect my mic and my external HDD to - things that stay plugged-in for a long time. As far as connecting things regularly, like a flash drive - the ports are hidden away so it's really not comfortable, in all honesty. I just plug my flash drives into the box which is right beside me, rather than the screen. Now as far as things like ULMB, blue light filters and game modes and so on - I think they're gimmicks and/or useless. ULMB doesn't work alongside G-Sync, so pointless having it. All the blue-light stuff I couldn't care less about since I have zero problems falling asleep even if I game right till bedtime. Game modes and various color adjustments - I prefer natural colors and an accurate gamut, especially when I work, so all that stuff is off and untouched. The UI (OSD/HUD) of the screen is nowhere near as horrible as the reviewers make it out to be (especially compared to the ROG Swift offering). It may be daunting at first, but if you've had a normal screen in your life at any point - you'll know exactly how this one works. I don't even know why people make the OSD out to be a problem in any way shape or form... Overall I give this screen 5* everywhere. I understand it's not a cheap monitor by any means, but it's an experience to be had and nothing comes close at this price range (remember - IPS is expensive for a reason!). Inconvenient USB ports and gimmicky options in the settings aside - this screen is superb and I definitely recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure bliss to game on! Firstly great service from scan, and box arrived mint condition through DPD!. So coming from a 4k 60hz Asus i was skeptical to the change for some time while looking for a higher refresh rate having an i7-980ti sc SLI setup. Looking at lots of reviews on this monitor and the Asus PG279Q reviews i went for this monitor due to certain reasons. setting up the monitor was simples and has the most bizarre stand fitting ive seen :D Ok so to the game play! its just amazing tbh beats my 4k monitor to the ground! yes the acer has a tad lower resolution than my old monitor but having the lower res and higher refresh rates is gloriously worth it either at 144hz or 165hz is awesome. Playing various games such as rsv siege, black desert online, fallout 4, borderlands 2, alien isolation is flawless. i must admit playing the new witcher wild hunt on this monitor looks shockingly good and better than my 4k monitor its something you need to see to experience. The way this monitor handles colors and effects in games is candy to the eyes. The monitor has some criticism on the menus setup but tbh but i don't see what the fuss is about. In a nutshell adding this monitor to my rig playing games at 144hz + in 2560 is just an awesome experience u wont be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality panel. Before this screen I had owned two different ASUS PG279Q panels. Both had quality control issues with back light bleed, pixel inversion problems and colour shift, I bought the XB271hu because it had the same panel and was hoping for better quality control. I was not disappointed. The panel had no noticeable back light bleeding or IPS glow. The screen colour and quality of the panel was excellent out of the box. I have since calibrated it properly and it looks incredible. I have no issues at all with the screen and believe me I looked for them after owning two different ASUS screens with issues. I would highly recommend this screen

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute game changer! I was skeptical when I ordered the predator monitor, having read reviews online and seen user feedback I decided to take the plunge and order it. It's the best techie purchase I've ever made, everything about the screen is mind blowing. It has refreshed my interest in gaming and made old games look new again. I moved from a 1080p 60hz monitor up to this 1440p 165hz screen and the difference is unbelievable. The colors are so bright and the screen is perfect for viewing in daylight and low light scenarios. I highly recommend this product, if you're going to buy one piece of gaming kit this year make it this screen, im considering buying a second it's that good, any other monitor as a second screen will disappoint after using this.

Contrast

Hello, I've read on some reviews of this panel that the contrast is only 1000:1, but it shows 100,000,000:1 on the description here? Just want to double check before I decide to buy or not as have read that the blacks can appear washed out and greyish...
