There are also varying panel technologies used to form each display that need to be considered. These panel technologies can be grouped into three broad categories which cover the vast majority of monitors sold in the consumer market.

27" Acer Nitro VG270UP WQHD 144Hz FreeSync IPS Gaming Monitor, 2560x1440, 1ms, DP/HDMI is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great monitors, may not be the best for gaming Although described as gaming monitors because of the refresh rate I brought a pair of them mostly for office work (one big desktop) and for only light gaming. The poor stand didn't bother me as they are mounted on a pole (so VESA mounting was paramount). After a few weeks I can honestly say they make fantastic monitors for my use case. The dual monitor desktop (5120x1440) always has space and the monitors are bright with no obvious sign of problems. If I was primarily using it for games I think a single bigger UHD monitor would be better choice.
