Great small physical size SSD with high speed and good capacity. I use it for running game off and for working on 'live' RAW files from a DSLR camera.
However, be warned that out of the box the partition is not aligned to the drive sectors. This means that it will operate at less than half the speed or efficiency it is supposed to for a lot of operations! If you don't know what I'm talking about or are not confident with computers go no further. With a new drive, BEFORE YOU WRITE ANY DATA TO THE DISK, do the following (for Windows 7, 8 and 10):
1- In 'Computer Management' open 'Disk Management' tab.
2- Select the CORSAIR SSD and right click.
3- Select 'Format'.
4- Name your drive.
5- Choose your file system (NTFS, for best performance if the drive will only be used with Windows. If it is to be used with Mac and Linux as well choose FAT32).
6- Choose 'Allocation unit size', set it to either; 'Default' or '4096' (these are the same thing).
7- UNTICK 'Perform a quick format'.
8- UNTICK 'Enable file and folder compression'
9- Click 'OK'
10- Wait for drive to finish formatting before you do anything with it. (DO NOT UNPLUG IT!)
After this enjoy a true SSD in a thumb drive format! If you have an old drive and have never done it and want it to run faster you can use this guide BUT, back up all the data on the drive beforehand. DO NOT do this process on any other drive, it will delete all the data irreversibly.

The claimed speed is outrageous or is it?
I can get 300MB/s reading from it to my triple RAID SSDs but the write performance is real poor and then I get max 123MB/s dropping to 80MB/s.
My system is a hex core clocked to 4.7GHZ with 16G RAM so it is not my PC that is slow and with a triple RAID SSD as the source and destination in the testing not that either. I do have an external hard drive in a USB shuttle that writes faster and sustains 180MB/s so expected much more from this pen drive.
